It was wonderful, loved how quaint it was and all the little touches. It was just what we were looking for. I didn't know what to make of the "hostless" hotel but it was not a big deal at all. The décor was on point and it was very clean (which is hard to find these days). I would come back again.

The Winston is the best gem of Solvang. The attention to detail is beautiful. Impeccable in its quiet luxury. Excellent location. Easy parking. Very quiet. The keyless entry is wonderful. It’s a dream getaway.

We loved our stay at The Winston and would return to this property if we were ever in Solvang again. The location was central and we could walk to anything in the town in a maximum of 5 or 6 minutes. Our Queen suite was large, upscale, and sparkling clean. "Invisible service" meant no front desk, but when we made a request via text, it was handled swiftly. We always felt taken care of, and no hotel front desk made it feel like a private apartment with hotel amenities. We also enjoyed the honor bar in the lounge, and were able to grab a drink upon arrival.

This location was a great spot to stay, the property was quiet and clean. Had to call to get our arrival info since it wasn't sent before we arrived, the girl I spoke to was super helpful and got us the information we needed quickly to get into our room. Our room was great, loved the little touch of having a record player(although it was broken).

I am very confused by the reviews. I will agree the room is beautiful, but that’s where it ends. I paid extra to get a balcony room. In their pictures on Expedia they show a beautiful garden outside of the balcony. There is no garden, it’s a parking lot! If you like looking at your car and other cars in the lot you will like a balcony. At 5 AM a horrible odor overtakes the room. It was so awful I thought about leaving at 5 AM. It is an invisible host. If you need anything you must text and send a picture of the problem. They will then decide what they want to do. The heating until is a little complicated. We figured it out. The room has a lot of technology. Everything is on a technological locking systems.
The worst is they will drive you nuts getting a card for incidentals. They will keep calling. I found this very inconvenient as they were paid in full and I was touring places while they kept calling. They should put a host on site when people are arriving. They charge like a full service hotel. There is zero service.
