This place was the worst, most disgusting room I have stayed in my whole life! Dirty undergarment present in restroom at arrival, restroom door broken & would not shut at all, greasy floors, mold everywhere, no screens on downstairs windows, stains on dirty bedding, chemical/insect spray smell, just all bad!
Our goal is to provide our guests with clean, comfortable rooms, so it saddens us to learn we failed to achieve that during your time with us. Rest assured, we will share your comments with the respective teams so that we can immediately work on improving our accommodations. Though your stay was less than stellar, we hope you'll give us another chance to change your impression of our hotel.
So-so motel styled hotel. Cleaning service was once in 3 days. Breakfast was a box of Danish and a pile of napkins. Not even coffee. The place has no character. It was an adequate place to crash at night, but nothing more.
We went to Svendsgaard hotel at Solvang on Sep 2nd 2023, the room was over sprayed with room freshener to cover up the SEWER SMELL when I checked in the room, we kept over stuffs and went out to have food. When we came back the room smelled sewer gas, I couldn't enter the room. When we talked to the front office the manager was not ready to apologise.And we called the police to inform about the toxic gas leakage. The upper floor people also had similar issue, and the management hasn't refunded the amount yet. we had to find a hotlel at 8.30 pm which is one hr away from solvang. SUch a nasty hotel and management.Never stay at this hotel.

Excellent location for a our trip to Solvang, CA on our Staycation in California… booked the hotel and it was a good choice, easy to get too ample parking and a cute rustic looking Danish Hotel not a huge hotel also has a pool and jacuzzi , the hotel books up fast, they have excellent customer service the staff was very helpful and nice and friendly… would stay again
Avoid this place at all costs. The staff is incompetent and the entire place smells like a moldy sponge. We spent 40bminutes trying to check in. The guy at the front desk asked to the care of the 7 ppl behind us. Then, when he was done he walked away. We stood there in amazement for 5 minutes then heard his cell phone. We went around the front desk and asked if we were going to be helped, and he said "I'm on my lunch brake. Worst customer service I've experienced in my life. We canceled our room with them and went to Wine Valley inn. Wine valley made up for ther horrible experience We had at Svensgaard and then some.
