“Expensive, far and not clean.”
Reviewed 30 July 2011

We've been in a few motel in the last week and Sonoma creek inn is the wroste.
The room was big but the patio is ridicoulus, rerally small with 3 walls (yeah, for your privacy!) that separe you from the main noisy street. There you can find 2 old chairs with 2 dirty pillows to relax.....

The wc had few stein in the top.....it was not that nice to use it........

It's far from the centre but it's not a bad place....from there you can reach glen ellen and sonoma in few minutes.

I won't be back there.

Ps: there's no breakfast, the place next door (which i'll review soon) that is so nice to have it!!!

Difficult to review. The hotel is only 8 years old, but built to look retro. The biggest negative is security- not a good part of town, and no hotel staff on premises after 8 pm. Interior design could use a gay guys touch, but it's clean and has a nice bathroom.

The Sonoma Creek Inn is a great deal and a nice place to stay. Not too fancy, but just right for the price. Central location allowed a day in Napa, a day in Southern Sonoma and a day in Northern Sonoma. Visa Signature Card program was very helpful at the many wine tastings that were part of the program in Sonoma.

Room Tip: If travelling as two couples, ask for the rooms with the balcony. It was nice to sit out there and...

When we decided, at the last minute, to book a motel room in Sonoma, we stumbled upon the Sonoma Creek Inn. Considering the price (though located near the center of the town), we were not expecting a great place but we were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the beds are not top quality but as the one negative reviewer said, he understands the "get what you pay for." Having said that, this was not like a bunk on a navy ship or something. It is lumpy and a bit soft but it was not horrible. We slept fine. The people working there was very nice and helpful. The room and the surrounding environs were clean. The decor was fantastic and a little funky. This remodeled old hotel is a wonderful stay and a welcome break from the standardized large hotel chains.

We were in Sonoma visiting friends, and selected at the Sonoma Creek Inn because of the location. It was a comfortable enough place to stay, but the customer service was amazing. They were kind and gracious when we checked in, offerring a free room upgrade and wine tour coupons, but the best part was after we had left. They called us when we were about an hour up the road, letting us know they had found our pillows which we left in the room. I was dismayed but didn't want to backtrack an hour, my husband said I guess they give them to the GoodWill or toss them - and when I told the Sonoma Creek Inn employee that, they offered to take them to UPS and send them to us. They had our credit card number to pay for the shipping (cheaper than buying new pillows!) and our home address, and didn't charge a penny for the extra service. Wow. We are impressed, and will definitely stay there again. (I wouldn't bother with paying extra for a courtyard room - as other reviewers have said, the courtyards are pretty tiny.)

We stayed at the SCI based off of the high TripAdvisor rating. It was our first time in Sonoma(we usually tour Napa) and thought we were going to be in the middle of the action. While we weren't that far away from Old Town, it felt like we were really removed. The property is a refurbished motel with cute, but pretty basic, rooms. The staff is cordial, but not very knowledgable about the local wineries. Noting that there are almost too many to be truly proficient, I assisted a fellow guest with their tour of Napa. The beds are not comfortable and the road noise can make a good night's rest a challenge. The adjacent restaurant, the Creekside Cafe, was absolutely wonderful! We would most likey stay elsewhere when we visit again, but appreciate the effort.

When I called for the reservation, the person that I spoke to was very kind.

She did not boast about the Sonoma Creek Inn and she should have!

It was really a lovely place to stay and one of the high points of our vacation out west. The rooms were very clean. The ambiance very charming. The price, very modest compared to the value of a sound night's rest in a clean, quiet, cool room.

I definitely recommend the Sonoma Creek Inn. April Gill Jacksonville, Fl.
