The location is great, literally a five minute walk from Stinson Beach and the Parkside restaurant/café. The wifi is also great. However, the floors in the room were crooked, the walls had thin paneling, there was no air conditioning at all (and it was hot!), no where to get water or amenities, the office is only open until 7pm. There is a lovely quaint garden with some patio chairs, and we did appreciate that we could borrow beach chairs. When we arrived, our room door was wide open... an odd little beach town to be sure! We had two rooms, cost was $250. Seemed rather steep given the dust covered room, but the location probably explained the expense.

Room tip: All rooms are motel-style, on the ground floor... maybe ask for one without crooked floors?

This place is amazing and a great deal. We've stayed in two rooms, one without a kitchenette and one with. The kitchenette room is awesome. The little kitchen is well stocked with cooking instruments and the mini fridge already had ice in it! The fireplace was a nice touch. The bathroom was clean and as someone with long hair, I LOVED that they gave you two little shampoos and conditioners instead of just one. And speaking of the shower, the water pressure was incredible. I'm pretty sure you could hose off circus elephants with the amount of power that the water pressure put out.

We come here so that I can run the Double Dipsea and this place is like 100 yards at the most from the starting line. Nothing better than rolling out of bed and staggering over to pick up my stuff so I can run a grueling trail for the next five hours.

There are over 100 DVDs that you can borrow from the front desk. They also have a large selection of books, board games and cards that you can use. And if you need chairs or toys for the beach, they have those for you as well! The guy who runs the place is super nice, so if you need anything at all, he'll totally help you out.

This place is older, so not everything will be in pristine condition (though it is superbly clean and everything functions as it should), so if you can't handle that, you might want to stay someplace else and let other people enjoy this little gem.

Room tip: Kitchenette room is great!

The sandpiper is a bird that symbolizes so many attributes that this place embodies.
The locally owned and operated family business with amazing garden has a warm and welcoming staff to start your visit off on the right foot.
Just a stone's throw from the beach (you can hear the lull of the ocean from the rooms) with cozy, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated rooms makes it a hard decision to have a 'stay'cation to rest, restore and relax or get outdoors and play!
Amenities, staff, guests and the perfect combo of choices make this a place to stay any time of the year and whatever the weather conditions are that make the north bay better than a San Francisco treat any day of the week!

Room tip: Wide variety of roomy types. All are good choices.

We only spent one night here, but wished we could spend several days. It's a very quaint place, an easy walk to the beach and cafes, with a beautiful and peaceful garden. Nearby hiking trails and grocery stores made this a very convenient and lovely stay for us. Also, the kitchenette came in handy too. One could easily spend a week here. Personnel were wonderful.

Room tip: Cottage rooms are lovely.

Remote and beautiful spot. We stayed in room 6 and it was beautiful, classic beach front furnishings, wood and blues. Huge comfy bed and gas fired look like wood burning stove to keep you warm and cosy. Everything you need to self cater if you like. Big selection of DVD film to borrow and watch in room.
There is a cafe / restaurant around the corner serving fabulous everything, starting with breakfast. Two more within 5 minutes walk but they were closed
when we were there - a Tuesday night. the beach is awesome, we walked the while afternoon. Go here if you like hiding. Very good place to recharge or rekindle.
