I will say that the rooms were clean. The location was good for ease of travel to conduct business. The bathrooms were nice and the kitchen was a plus.

However, my room backed up right to the highway. While I had a suite that had a loft on the upper floor, the noise barriers were nil. The room layouts were very weird and it was quite outdated in the way it was decorated and maintained. Also, the quality of the televisions were terrible. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone that needs quiet time when they sleep.

This is an older property that is in need of updating. Carpeting is so dirty that the soles of your feet will be black if you walk barefoot in the room. Internet is free but doesn't always work. They actually have so many problems with their internet service that they have a 800 number to call for help!!! If you are going to need to do work on your laptop, stay somewhere else where the internet works!!!

Staff will go the extra mile for you. The breakfast is good and constantly replenished.

Front desk staff super helpful. Room feels a little worn and old but is clean and convenient. Cleaning staff is quick and eager to 'throw in an extra towel' when you're walking back in not needing a full daily service. Convenient to everything in the area. Does appear that there may be some longer term "residents" at the Residence Inn, but hey they named it not me.
Just ask for what you need here and they will try to do the best they can for you!

Right off the freeway, you want to make sure and get a room closer to the duck pond - otherwise you may hear some freeway traffic near the street. The internet connection in the lobby was extremely slow. The rooms were clean and quiet (except for the freeway noise). I would stay here again, or possibly at the Residence Inn Sunnyvale Silicon Valley II about a block away.

We found our suite to be spacious and clean. This hotel is perfect for business, extended stay or families needing more space than a typical hotel room. Equiped w/ kitchenette which was nice. Has a small pool and excerise facility. Free internet access in lobby. Std business internet hookup in the room/suite. Maintenance workers touching up interior paint. Looked fresh and clean to me.

With the amount of business travelers that go thru this hotel, you would think they would update. Plus the amount of nicer hotels around the area, this one should be at the bottom of people’s list….

This is Silicon Valley. The Internet connection should work! It didn’t. Tried to notify the management, they said to reset the router in my room. No luck. They made No real attempt to fix it either…

The overall setting of the hotel was ok, apartment like. If you were lucky, they put you in the area of the man made creek and pond. (The water was a weird dark green). If you weren’t, you had a nice view of the 101 freeway.

The Breakfast area is small and cramp feeling. Selection of food is small as well. The only nice part was breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. The Pool and hot tub area is very small as well.

The Manager’s reception was ok, had only one brand of beer and a couple wine selections. No hard alcohol. Always had chips and salsa, salad, and vegetables. On select nights, they had normal food. I had lasagna and garlic bread one night, the next night was chicken wings and meet balls. A large screen TV is in the area, but the color has faded to the point of almost watching a black and white TV.

The room layout was ok. The TV was from the 1990’s and had horrible reception. On certain stations, it would fuzz and crackle. For the price you pay a night for this place, they could update the TV……

Overall, I would see if The Plaza or The Embassy down the street on Lakeway Dr is available first.

Lack of everything - Avoid

This hotel has almost 200 Suites but the common facilities are rare. Employees and cleaners are less, small gym and swimming pool. lack of eating stuff in breakfast, shuttle service never available if required, on the expressway and hence lot of noise.

In the breakfast area things are not available. Manager and the breakfast lady told everyone that only 2 milk packets are allowed per person and they circulated a paper for the same. Internet is pathetic and home for viruses.

Since there are so many people the small swimming pool and Gym are always busy and you never get a place.

Each cleaners has 20 (yes 20 rooms) rooms to clean and hence they are always in a hurry and forget/leave the vacuuming.

In one words totally AVOID this hotel
