Lakeview? Maybe 40 years ago when it was built. Not directed electrics in the bathroom would pass safety standards. If I hadn't paid I would have gone somewhere else.

Our apologies that you didn’t enjoy your stay. All electric is to code. Had we known the view was important to you, we do offer lake view suites located on the river side. Please never feel like your money is non refundable when you don’t have a good guest experience. Had we been aware you were unhappy, we would of made it right. I will further train my staff to offer the upgrade of the view. Thank you for your comment, as we aim to satisfy all our guest’s wants and needs.
This hotel cost more than I'd expect for what you get. Essentially it's a glorified trailer room- no tub, the shower is a standup plastic stall, and the floor feels iffy. For 30 more, you could get a real room, plus continental breakfast, at any hotel in Fredericton. On the plus side- TV and wireless worked.
Great place . Friendly staff. Spent many years as child in the Jemseg and Cambridge- Narrows area. Room was clean and very comfortable. After a long drive to get here ,the bed was so comfortable. Will keep coming back to this motel every time I'm in town. Next time I'm bringing my fishing gear.
Thank you for your great review,I love hearing from great positive people, would love to have you back and make sure you don't forget your fishing gear 😃
We spent one night at the Jemseg Lakeview Motel on our way from Quebec City to Cape Breton. There was nothing at this exit but this motel. Our room at the motel was in the $80 range and over priced for what you got. The small room was crammed with a double bed and a single bed, a table with a coffee maker with no filters, a mini frig, a window air conditioner and a very small bathroom. In the middle of the night we discovered we had no water in the bathroom so the toilet wouldn't flush and no water from the sink. No shower in the morning until the management had to manually turn it back on. Took a shower in a cheap plastic shower stall and then the toilet wouldn't flush again. I would not go back.
As an experienced traveller, I have found many small motels to be more attractive and worthwhile than the chain hotels. I chose this motel based on Tripadvisor reviews and was disappointed. The only reason we did not leave immediately was due to the late hour and the fact that the room was clean. That's where the niceties end. The room was small and cramped, the bathroom was tiny with exposed pipes and a tiny metal walled shower. The dresser drawers were falling apart when opened. The drapes were basically pieces of cloths hanging over the window. The door was rotting on the bottom. The grounds were overgrown. The bed was comfortable and clean (thank goodness). (see photos). Considering the shape of the room, the price at $75 was ridiculous. I recommend that this place be avoided, if possible. I am sorry we didn't continue driving.
This quaint motel has a million dollar view and sits above the Jemseg River. The Owner/ Operator Kathy goes that extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one. She is also a Outfitter with experienced qualified licences guides for the Spring and Fall Hunting opportunities for those avid outdoors people. Alongside that she also gas on hand nature trails for Quad Adventurers as well as Tree Stands for those who love to take photos of the varied and diversified wildlife this area of New Brunswick has to offer. There are docks available for those who love being out on the water with very easy access to Grand Lake. Fishing and swimming all within 5 min walk.
