What is great about this museum is that they frequently change their exhibits so that there is always something new and interesting.

This is a primarily local museum that focuses on Vacaville and Solano County. The curator is a local person who has a keen interest in local issues, the Nut Tree and other elements of area history. She does a great job coming up with the themes and presents information well. The only issue is the venue is small, so it is a short, 1-2 hour visit, but come back as the displays are changed and you can get a whole different perspective every time you come.

Just one exibition room, but it's worth it. Great insight in the history of Vacaville and Solano County.

The Vacaville Museum is always an interesting place to visit. The gift store is full of fun things too. I love the prints that are for sale.

Very interesting at every visit. Even buy from the gift shop. Lovely crafts and books etc. Each new exhibit you will learn something and go away pleased that you took the time. They work so hard to bring history alive for all ages!

These local museums always provide such interesting insight to an area. The Vacaville Museum was smaller than expected but we did learn a lot from what was there. The volunteers were passionate about they're museum which always adds to the experience.
Also took the self-guided Vacaville Historical Homes walking tour.

This is a very small museum, but the director was so helpful and nice! She gave us a personal tour of the exhibits and even let us browse the museums digital archives so my husband could look up information on his family's history in the area. Then she emailed us copies of some of the pictures in the museums collection. She really made an effort to help us and made us feel very welcome.

Love their displays, but it's the volunteers who make this place so great. You can tell they are invested in giving visitors a wonderful experience.
