The Bar here is by far one of the Best in the city. Don't go in here in shorts and a T-Shirt! This is a very nice place. The host is a true gentleman and how can you not like a guy who has not let the likes of Lindsay Lohan & Paris Hilton in here.

The ambiance is Fabulous the View Incredible and the food Fantastic with classic drinks.

The Hotel is from the 20's and kept up very nicely, just don't excpect super size rooms. John Wayne once had a cow on a balcony though!

Walking into the hotel we immediately impressed, that awe ended up staying in the lobby. We reserved a 2 Bedroom Suite at the hotel and it was nothing short of a joke - it was essentially 2 rooms with a hallway connecting the 2 individual rooms. No closet space, no dressers to put anything away. The hotel's NON-pro-active response to the situation was to move to another suite and pay an additional $300 per night for a "genuine suite as they call it"

End of story, with so many great hotels in LA, if your looking for luxury and space, look elsewhere.

I stayed here for 1 night. The hotel is gorgeous, the view from the restaurant near the pool is stunning and the food and service is excellent. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here. There is free wifi in the hotel too.
I stayed in a room with a king size bed. It was really nice, the bed was comfortable, I had a nice view and it was very quiet at night. However, there was a major flaw in that the bathroom has only mood lighting which was very dim. It was the same in my mother’s room. The bathroom lighting was so dim I couldn’t put my makeup on in there. Apart from that, my stay was very nice.

The rooms are nice enough--not terribly spacious depending on which room you get, but the beds are luxurious and come with the standard amenities. Nothing about the rooms will really wow you. Just make sure to ask for a room NOT facing Sunset--the boulevard's numerous bars and clubs get pretty loud and you're right smack facing all the action.
The reason i love the Sunset Tower is the service and the food! The restaurant is delicious--although very formal, dark and some may deem stuffy. But there's a reason the Hollywood elite love it--it's discreet and quiet. The pool/terrace restaurant has lighter fare and equally good. Plus it's not bad having breakfast in the sun overlooking Los Angeles.

Room Tip: Request a non-Sunset Blvd-facing room.
