“Perfect suite”
Reviewed 16 January 2012

I had the Money suite and it served as a perfect base for entertaining around my son's wedding. Wraparound patios overlooking the ponds (we had egrets visit) and golf course had a heater, chaises, big table and entertaining sideboard...it was perfect for a post-wedding brunch. The room has its idiosyncrasies (the wetbar didn't have a sink!, there were no doors between the bedroom and the living room, the tub was a standard tub for one person but with jets, etc.) but it was well appointed and the fireplace was welcome in December. NOTE: no matter what the office says, there is no pullout bed. We were told there was one. They did offer a roll away at no additional cost.

What a relief to call this place home for a few days, Was on a business trip did ALOT of driving and it was nice to come back to this property to relax. Room was very spacious and spotless, bed was amazing, comp internet, ample fitness center, coffee, water and fruit always in the lobby. Excellent in room coffee and tea as well. Grounds are immaculate. Staff was very accommodating. Great little lobby to meet in. Nice bathrooms, bose wave stereo, large flat screen. Nicely furnished. Pool area looked nice but it was just a tad too chilly to try during my visit. I look forward to returning again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room looking over the golf course, nice way to wake up in the morning.

This was our first stay at the Westlake Village Inn, we stayed two night on business, however, I plan on going back with my husband as the setting is very romantic. This hotel is amazing. The grounds are lovely and the rooms are spotless and cozy. The bedding is superb and our room had a fireplace, along with a nice patio that overlooked the golf course and hills. The hotel staff is very professional and recommended a fabulous restaurant, "Geoffrey's" in Malibu...which I highly recommend. "The Chart House" in Malibu is also a great spot to catch the sunset and a cocktail. This hotel is top notch...you will not be disappointed!

This was our second time staying at the Westlake Village Inn and we would definitely go back again. The property is gracious and lovely. It has beautiful grounds including small lakes, which attract a remarkable array of beautiful birds. The rooms are large. The beds are very comfortable, the room and bathroom very clean. The hotel is very well-located near several useful shopping centers with restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and movie theaters. It is also easy to get on and off the 101 freeway. At the same time, the hotel rooms are set back well off the road and the property is quiet.

I always stay here a couple times a year when my house is being painted. I request a mini suite with a fire place and ask for a golf course view (upstairs). The staff is professional and the grounds are beautiful. Take a bath in the over sized tub and have a nice quiet night on a very comfortable feather bad.

Room Tip: get a room upstairs across from golf course

This is a very beautiful hotel, lovely grounds, well decorated. But our stay was somewhat dissappointing. My husband booked a suite with jacuzzi tub for our wedding night. The suite was large with a living room and fireplace and outdoor patio. It was pretty, but the jacuzzi was just the regular bathtub with sliding glass doors and jacuzzi jets. Not what we were expecting for the price, which wasn't cheap. Little things were annoying, like either of the two sinks in the bathroom wouldn't hold water because the drain plugs were faulty, and we couldn't turn the gas fireplace on and had to call someone to do it. Later, the same thing again with the fireplace, so we just said forget it. In the morning we called room service for breakfast on the patio. While we were eating a very noisy machine was being used on the grounds next to our room, and then the gardener came with a blower for the leaves and we had to ask him to please come back later so we could enjoy our breakfast. The patio issues were just bad luck I suppose, but the indoor issues were annoying for this caliber hotel. We checked into the hotel in our wedding clothes and I was holding my bouquet. Would it have killed the person at the desk to say "Congratulations" or welcome us in some way? Instead, he kept talking to his co worker in the back and said "Just a minute" without looking at us when we said "Hello" to get his attention. Overall, this hotel was just an "okay" experience. I wouldn't call it 4 star. I gave it 3 stars because it is beautiful and the food was good. I doubt I'd stay there again, or recommend it highly to anyone.
