We stayed 2 nights at the Boulder Adventure Lodge before heading to Denver, and we honestly wish we had just spent our whole time there. Very unique in it's location you drive down a scenic winding road through the canyon to get there. But still we found that we were never more than 10 minutes or so from downtown. I do recommend 4 wheel drive for navigating their parking lot, it was really great that at night the place was very well lit, without disturbing the clear skies for star gazing, so we could easily see where we were going when we came back after dinner in town. The Owners were onsite and helpful every morning in where to go with maps and hiking suggestions. Breakfast was cold cereal and yogurt which was fine for me. We got a two queen suite which was really nice full kitchen area, living room and two separate bedrooms. The TV in the room was a Smart TV so we could easily stream Netflix and the internet here was BETTER than our fancy chain hotel's in Denver.
Overall we had a great stay, really solid value for the price, and I would recommend them to anyone visiting Boulder who wants to go off the beaten path.

This was an idyllic location, just 3 miles out of the city. The property is set just off the road and Boulder Creek runs right through it. Asa, the owner, was helpful and ready to suggest some good hikes and drives. The room was fine. We were looking for a place with a kitchen, so A Lodge suited our needs. The walls were a bit thin, as we could hear the conversations and TV shows of the neighboring rooms, so if you're a light sleeper like me, bring some ear plugs or white noise app on the phone. The rooms had TV, wifi (you need it out there) and nice map art. The kitchens could use a bit more of the basics (cups, forks, plates, etc), but we made it work. The complimentary breakfast did the trick for us, yogurt, juice and cereal was all we needed; we bought other stuff at the store. This was a good value for our family of 4 with 2 kids (8,11) where they could run around and explore.

Room tip: Ask for a room on the end, so that you might only have one neighbor

Hey Matt, and thanks for taking the time to write us a review!

We're glad you and your family had a great time at our lodge, and we appreciate you including some constructive feedback in there, too. You bring up a good point about needing some more kitchen utensils, etc. in the room. We've got those things available in our office to borrow, and are printing out signs for the room to let our guests know about it. It's important for us to here things like this from our guests so we can improve!

Thanks again!

Went with a girlfriend during a SUPER COLD WEEKEND in February and this place was a home run. It's cute, it's neat looking, and if you're looking for a "Colorado-esque" place to say...this is exactly what you need. Close to Boulder, close to everything.

Room was warm, comfortable, cozy. The hot water took a bittttttttttttt long to heat up, but once it did, it was hot the whole trip.

I can only imagine how much fun it would be to stay here if it were warm too! Plenty of picture moments..

The place is beautiful. Just 5 minutes from the city but worlds away! Room was nice, could use a small bathroom and kitchen update without losing that lodge vibe that is so cozy. Grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back when the stone building is done!

I was in boulder on business and would not be in my room much so elected to stay here to save money. I could not believe that it was only $69.00 per night! Although other hotels were better for business needs, this looked fun and it was! only 2 miles out of town and great wifi! Each room has its own connection! Other guests were young snowboarders. Coffee is not available until 7:30 but there is a coffee pot in room. There may or may not be filters, coffee, cream or sugar so plan ahead. Very nice staff, very beautiful location, very clean! Not fancy but very comfortable.
