“Best Location on Mountain”

Very, very nice, "upscale" units. Well appointed and very comfortable. All have washer/dryer, many have hot tubs in the unit and complex has outdoor one.C-12 advertised as sleeping 6, but has been upgraded to "captain's bunk" in 2nd BR, so easily sleeps 7. Ski out from end of driveway to Snowflake lift. Ski back requires some poling/skating across very flat area of Snowflake trail for 50-100yds depending on how much speed you carry on to trail, then have to take off skis to cross a driveway as you exit. Can then resume skiing right to end of complex driveway again. We did not find it to be bad at all. Beaver Run Resort is right behind Los Pinos, so amenities there easily accessible, and free shuttle stops right outside of complex, so this is as easy as it gets, too. Four block downhill walk to center of Main St. Price significantly better than true ski in/ski out of equal quality, and these are really pretty close to it. All in all, I think Los Pinos is the best deal on the mountain.

Stayed in E13, a great time was had by all. Easily accomidates 6. Nicely furnished, appliances, and plenty of room. Location was OK but not great. When there is snow you just have to walk across the street then ski across a flat about 150 yrds to the lift. On the way back you have to traverse 2 flats on Snowflake trail, cutoff early then walk down the road about 200 yrds. The ski out is not hard at all the "ski in" is a cardio workout. HOWEVER the price of this condo is not as much as a true ski in/out. We would definitely stay there again. But if you are looking for a real in/out property, check out the Tyra complex.
For dinner check out Briar Rose and certainly the Modis.

Very nice place to stay, heated garage , full kitchen, close to town , fireplace, GOOD INTERNET, WASHER AND DRYER. ITS NOT A TRUE SKI IN AND SKI OUT. you have to walk about 500 feet to the lift. but, when you are done skiing you have to walk on snowflake trail about 1/4 mile. paid $ 375 a night for 5 nights.

EST. TIME TO GET TO PEAK 8 OR PEAK 9 LIFTS ABOUT 30 MIN.

I agree 100% with the previous reviewer about the condo. It is most certainly NOT ski in ski out. The condo was nice enough, but we were so disappointed in the ordeal to get on and especially back off the slopes that we will never stay there again. We did not get what we paid for. .

I personally love Breckenridge itself, and there are much better places to stay. It is a great resort for beginners and intermediates. A couple of years ago we were at the Cedars, which actually is ski in ski out, and that is where we will stay when we return.

I've been skiing and snowboarding for 15+ years. I've stayed at numerous resorts and this was my first trip to Breckenridge. I usually stay right on the mountain because I enjoy the convenience of ski-in / ski-out units. I was very dissapointed to learn that these units are NOT true ski-in / ski-out as advertised by many. Anybody who tells you otherwise must either be drunk or crazy. Apparently some property owners think that walking down Snowflake Drive, crossing a street, and then hiking 100 more yards to the Snowflake lift is equivalent to skiing out. These same crazy people advertise their units as being Ski-In which actually means taking a long flat trail for about 1/8 mile and then having to hike the last 200 yards back to the condos. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else if you want true ski-in / ski-out accomodations.

Another thing.....The outdoor hot tub is NOT covered by a roof. This means that if you are wearing flip flops to the hot tub you will probably have to step in the snow arround the tub before getting in. Your head and face will also get very cold when it is snowing since the snow falls directly on your head.

One last thing.....Breckenridge resort sucks too! The mountain layout is terrible and the runs are short and crowded. Do yourself a favor and go to Beaver Creak or Keystone instead. If you have any questions you can email me at

I booked a 3 bedroom / 3 bath unit for 4 nights in December for my family. As with any Condo property, your experience may differ based on the unit that you are assigned. We were given unit B22.

I can say that upon first impression I was very pleased, and I did not see anything during the stay to change that. The check in process went smoothly, and our room was ready even though we arrived over two hours prior to the check-in time. Additionally, the condo was exactly as described and pictured on the Resort Quest website. The condo was spacious and appeared to be well maintained. The beds were comfortable and plenty to sleep 8 people. If I had to complain about something I guess I would have liked more pillows, but this is just being nit-picky.

Additional property amenities included:
Garage -- Very nice to keep the car in since we received over a foot of snow while there. Also good for ski storage.
Hot Tub -- Never made it out there....our room had a jetted tub.
Ski In/Ski Out -- It is about a 100 yard walk to a ski path to the Snowflake lift. Maybe a 200 yard walk (downhill) on your way back. It is also a fairly easy walk to the free shuttle stop which will take you to anyplace in town or to the lifts on the other peaks.
Concierge -- Was very polite and helpful in arranging non-ski activities like a dinner sleigh ride.
Limited Maid Service -- Being a condo, I was surprised to have any maid service. Mid-stay they delivered new towels (lots) and removed our trash.
Washer/Dryer -- Our unit had a washer dryer.
Front Desk Staff (Tyra)-- The staff was young and seemed somewhat inexperienced. However, you could tell that they meant well. They were very polite and were able to help us to arrange to stay longer when the Holiday Blizzard closed Denver.

Overall, I was very pleased with the whole experience. I felt that the condo was a comparatively good value, and lived up to the promises advertised. I would be very happy to stay there again.

My husband, son and I had a great time skiing Breckenridge but a lousy stay at Los Pinos. Our one-bedroom condo was tiny and dark, and decorated (in March) with cheap, cheesy Christmas decorations. With so little room, I would gladly have done without the fake Christmas tree taking up extra space! The unit had not been thoroughly cleaned: we found dirty washcloths and nearly empty shampoo bottle in the bathroom. And time for a new mattress on the queen bed! We also saw on the websites for Breckenridge lodging that we could expect a washer/dryer, fireplace and balcony. We found out after arrival that this only pertains to some of the 2 and 3 bedroom units. Calls to the property management company and the booking agent revealed source for confusion: there are two property management companies for Los Pinos who post different details for the units they manage. Just because you read online a list of amenities that come with Los Pinos does *not* mean you will get them with your unit. My advice is to call the property management company before booking to confirm what your specific unit will contain.
On the plus side, my brother and 5 friends stayed in a 3-bedroom Los Pinos unit that was fabulous, large and lovely.
Last, to say that Los Pinos is "ski in/ski out" is *really* stretching the truth. If you don't mind hiking it a bit, it's fine. If you want true ski in/ski out, look elsewhere. Most of all, if you are looking for a one-bedroom condo, I'd advise against Los Pinos. We won't be back.
