This is the first time we've stayed in this kind of property; a chain-owned resort/hotel and we were very pleased. We got a studio suite which included a queen bed and a queen sofa sleeper with a kitchenette with dishwasher, refrig., oven and microwave. Ample closet, for those planning a longer stay and bathroom was roomy. We wound up getting a handicap-accessible room due to ours not being cleaned yet, but that was OK. We had a 1.5 story room with a great view of the mountains and it was facing the properties pond that featured a fish ladder. Very cool! NOTE: There is NO air conditioning in the rooms, but we were there in early Sept., which can still get pretty hot, and the temp dropped into the 40s at night and we kept the windows open and snuggled in the blankets and breathed in the fresh mountain air. The front desk staff is very helpful and pointed out all the amenities like the game room, pool, fire pits (bring your s'mores ingredients!) plus the hotel was within walking distance of downtown, which was featuring a beerfest at the time of our stay. One caveat: Good news: there is underground parking for guests; bad news? the garage is harder to get out of than the NSA! You can easily drive in using your room code, but once in, it took us five tries to find a door we could get out of, onto the street, as the garage is also used by other properties and our key wouldn't work on some doors. No elevator would work with our key either. Frustrating! Especially when hauling lots of luggage. When my husband went to get the car when we left, he got all turned around and had to rely on a woman using another property to use her key to get out of the garage. WTF? Dangerous, especially if someone had to leave in a hurry.....that was our only downside to this property, otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

Room tip: Pay extra for a balcony room.....you'll love the view and fresh air!

Pains me to say that I wouldn't return - because I'm a Diamond Marriott customer and very loyal to the brand. What I liked: The room itself, great comfortable bed (as always), a generous kitchen, nice bathroom, pool (view) and multiple hot tubs. Why I wouldn't return: Parking, we had to park 4 buildings away from room (a real pain traveling with young child), no view (the whole reason we traveled to area, lack of onsite restaurant/bar. This was a deal breaker. I loved this town and the rest of the adventures available - I would just look for somewhere else to stay. Not much to offer.

Can't say anything negative about this place. Beautifully built with a villa feel. A lake surrounds the property. Plenty of things to do for any ages. A game room with ping pong, video games, Xbox, music DJ thing, excellent exercise facility. Then to top it off a great staff. Oh yeah, drink the green water at the front.

I have to first say that the location is perfect along with outdoor pool and grounds. The room however was musty, moldy smelling that was hard to get rid of even with the windows open and the bed was very uncomfortable. Which to me was important since traveling to a higher elevation level it is hard to sleep as it is. I thought for the price of the room (queen bed) was too high for what it was and without breakfast, even for platinum members. I think Marriott needs to spend the money to update the rooms and it would be a 5 star place. If going back to Breck I would consider staying elsewhere until such is done, especially for the price.
