My extended family booked this cabin for 5 days / 4 nights and could not have been happier with the accommodations. We had 17 people total and this location was superb! The views of the mountains to the west were spectacular and all the balconies were wonderful. We ate several times on the main level deck; we enjoyed a simple fire every evening outside in a portable fire pit on the ground level porch. The kitchen was ample and well equipped, I really can't say anything negative about it! We held a ping-pong tournament in the game room in the garage :-). There is a zipline course that winds around the cabin and a couple of us walked up to watch some of the zipline groups do their thing. We saw some deer and elk in the area while we were there. And we also went on a Royal Gorge white-water rafting trip which was a lot of fun. The cabin really is a fantastic location, the driveway off the road is maybe 1/4 to 1/2 mile out and you feel like you are in the middle of the wilderness. Nothing much close to you, very private. You can see the Royal Gorge bridge off in the distance. We had folks traveling from all over the country; California, IN, AZ, MN, and WI, and this location was only 2.5 hrs from the Denver airport, so many of us flew there, rented a car and came down. An absolutely WONDERFUL cabin!
Everything was great! The location is close to Canon City but feels extremely remote. Beautiful place and views.
We took our girls softball team to a tournament in the area in June, then came here to spend a couple of days just relaxing. This house is FANTASTIC - it's huge and has room for everyone to have their "own" space! The deck views are beautiful and it's close to everything you want to do in the area. The Royal Gorge, river rafting, zip lines, horseback riding and just relaxing! It is a little pricey, but, you get what you pay for, and this place is FANTASTIC!
