Wasn't planning on stopping by or going into the base from whatever reviews I read. Not many good reviews to rely on. Decided to go since I needed gas and to check out the exchange and commissary. Glad I did. I think this base gets overlooked since it's the academy so you expect it to have smaller shopping facilities. The exchange and commissary are a little smaller than most places but they have what you need. Plenty of souvenirs at the exchange and the commissary has a good selection for its size. Kind of a drive into the academy from the interstate to get to the shopping but kind of a hidden gem. Would definitely go back. Check out the jewelry selection from some great deals if your timing is right.

An amazing insight into a fine military academy. The movie at the visitor center was eye opening. Discipline at its finest.

Always amazing to see the chapel. The grounds are expansive and beautiful. I understand that the chapel will soon be going through a renovation that will last 4 years.

Plan to spend about an hour there. Also no large bags or backpacks so important to be prepared. Beautiful ground to see and the chapel is well worth the stop. Spectacular inside and out. Nice gift shop and theater with information on the academy. Displays with interesting facts in visitor center.
