Our plans to stay a night with friends fell through so we had to hurriedly find an available room in a busy tourist area. We love small independents as opposed to chain motels. This one, in a strip of older motels in the section of Colorado Springs right near Garden of the Gods and other attractions, happened to have one room left. Spacious and clean, a comfy bed, covered carport parking and a well-stocked kitchenette made for a comfortable stay. Too bad we only had one night here! The breakfast area was spacious and clean with a decent selection. All-in-all, if you are a nostalgia buff and don't mind skipping the Holiday Inn, highly recommend!

I can't imagine how all these other travelers gave this place 4 stars or even 3 for that matter. It needs updating. Badly. The baseboards in my room were peeling. The sheets were a mess beneath the bedspread; meaning I wasn't sure they'd been changed, and as another traveller expressed, there were 1/2 inch gaps under and around the door to the room. I can say the bathroom was clean, but there was dust on the lamps and a big cobweb in one corner of the room. The breakfast was coffee, packaged pastries and small bagels with a some fruit. The lobby and breakfast area seemed clean and were nice enough, but I would never stay here again, and I stay at a lot of mom and pop type places. This one is in need of an update!

Clean, comfortable room. Very nice pool area. Chairs & benches outside room to relax and enjoy weather and view. Continental breakfast basic but sufficient. Good value for price and very pleasant stay.

This is an older motel, but very well maintained. We stayed 3 nights and had a room with king/queen combo. Clean room, kids enjoyed the pool. Decent breakfast, friendly owner/operator and support staff. Close proximity to Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs. Only small complaint is that shower/tub doesn’t drain well and holds water 10 minutes or so after you are done.

Clean comfortable room at an affordable price. Exactly what we needed. It was quiet. Parking is a little tight, but we managed just fine. Very close to Garden of the Gods. Cell service is a little hit and miss in that area. Not the hotel’s fault. Just the way it is.
