“Great location!”
Reviewed 3 April 2012

First off the location was great. It was half a block away from the 16th street mall....Right next to the B line bikes as well so you can bike around every where! The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The rooms were clean & towels and soaps restocked every day. Never had an issue with the room. This is obviously not a five star, immaculate, fancy hotel...so if that is what you are expecting, look elsewhere!

Room Tip: my room was right outside the elevator & i thought it would be loud and obnoxious hearing the do...

I had a training meeting at the Crowne Plaza Denver in the begining of March. Unfortunately, I was very ill. The hotel staff went to the drug store for me to get me medicine. The next day, I was well enough to finish the training. Everything about this hotel screams superior service. The hotel staff has reifined superior service in my mind.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on the west side, high floor. Spectacular views of the mountains are an amazing thing...

Although the Crowne Plaza Denver isn't the fanciest or best value in the area, the location is so convenient to shopping, restaurants and entertainment venues, that it is worth considering for your next stay in the area.
A typical 3.5 star hotel, the Crowne Plaza offers all the usual amenities, but you will hardly need to spend much time in the hotel considering all there is to see and do nearby.
The rooms are clean and well appointed. Ask for a high floor to get the best views. Make sure to always carry your key card as you will need it to access the upper floors via elevator and for your in and out parking privileges in the garage. Make sure to account for the $22 parking fee for each 24 hour period that is not included with your hotel room charge.
Located adjacent to the 16th Street pedestrian mall, you will find a plethora of restaurants, shopping opportunities, and more within walking distance. If you get tired or are not a walker, you can hop the free mall bus just a short block away from the hotel
The hotel offers an outdoor pool, but be aware that it is only open May-September.
The staff was friendly, but not over accommodating or helpful. It was matter-of-fact service, business as usual. No one really made us feel welcome as Platinum Rewards Members, nor were the amenities of the hotel explained at my 30 minute long check in.
I needed more pillows and blankets in my room, as none are provided, and the housekeeping staff was very accommodating and pleasant. They delivered them right away to our room with a smile.
Make sure to check online for deals for this hotel. There is no reason to pay rack rate. There are plenty of discounts out there. If you find one like I did on Hotwire, it is a good place to stay.

Room Tip: Choose a high floor for a good view and if you are a Rewards member, make sure to ask for your room...

Nice hotel in downtown of Denver. Good rooms and a high level of service.

Very fair rates. Definitely a place to book next time in Denver.

Breakfast (the food part) - here is room for improvement, though.

Paid $89 for a Groupon that included parking. Location is amazing. I have stayed here before and was a bit disappointed this time in the cleanliness of the room. There were large spots of a dark brown substance along with drips on the wall in the bathroom behind the door. Additionally, my son found candy under the bed. I was a bit irritated to hear the knock on the door from the housekeeper at 8 am on Sunday. The front desk staff was very nice and the food we had from the restaurant was good. You can hear everything. The walls are pretty thin.

Dear Lorarose,

Thank you for taking the time to let us have your feedback via Trip Advisor following your recent stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Denver. I was disappointed to read that you had a poor service experience. This is not the usual high standard of guest experience that we offer. I will speak with the Executive Housekeeper in order to avoid these unnecessary issues in the future.
We appreciate the feedback that we receive from our guests & this is crucial for us to improve the products & services that we offer. Once again thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Regards,
Brenda J.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. This hotel is very close to most of down town. It is also very close to a good selction of resturants.

Room Tip: rooms on the 16th floor and up have great views of the mountains
