From start to finish, this was hand's down the best meal & best service I've ever received anywhere! I would return to Denver, just to eat at Sarto's again!! Highly recommend.

As part of the wedding celebration dinner, I had tapas sized bites of multiple menu items. However, the following, were outstanding: strawberry jam bacon appetizer, brie, dried pineapple slices, arugula salad (yes an outstanding salad), gnocchi (best I've ever tasted), roasted cauliflower, heirloom carrots, salmon & diablo pasta. I'd return to Denver for the diablo pasta or gnocchi alone!

We enjoyed an early meal on a week night including the mussel appetizer, beet salad, steak, and desserts. The beet salad was pleasant with a nice dressing. Average steak and mussels, simple and tasty. The flourless chocolate cake with raspberry Marscapone filling was delectable and the raspberry hibiscus sorbet was textural, tasty and a wonderful finish to the meal. A nice ambience and feel to the restaurant. I look forward a return visit with friends!

Good looking room, comfortable, quite loud. Uneven cooking - some fine, some so inept and boring you have to wonder what all the rave review diners were eating. The pastas, an offering they seem quite proud of, are an overcooked mess. A few of the appetizers were quite good, the wine list predictable and boring. Very poorly trained and managed service personnel; hurried, distracted, disinterested. It could be so much better.

We were at Sartos's last night with a group. first time there. first impressions very positive - nice greeting. warm and cute décor (tailor theme). good service throughout. the disappointment was the totally mediocre food. we had arugula salad that was really just arugula and oil, a spattering of cheese. then squid ink linguini with clams. there were 6 small clams , and I had 2 BAD clams, the other 4 were rubbery. my husband the same. unexciting linguini. and the sorbet afterwards was inedible, tasted like an artificially sweetened sorbet, pieces of leathery fruit we had to pick out of the dish. a real shame the food doesn't live up to the ambience.

Thought we would try a new place since it looked like they had some good reviews. The food was mediocre at best. I had a chicken parmigiana which they used thighs and leg meat for (who uses dark meat for this??) It had several grizzle pieces in it. I mentioned it to the waiter and he was like oh sorry, and could have cared less. It was luke warm as well. The pasta that came with it was dreadful, and was a stuck together mess, and inedible. We also had a risotto which was not cooked correctly, had huge chunks of onion in it. Had some roasted brussel sprouts which had crushed red pepper on them, so be warned that it was really over seasoned with those. Someone else had the lasagna and it was way over cooked as well and was like chef boyarde quality. Thought we would try some desserts and see how those were. The apple crostada was decent, however, they use half an apple (literally an apple cut in half not sliced or anything), and cover it with "gelato" which was not gelato but just ice cream. The apple was not cooked all the way through. We also had the salted chocolate tart, which was supposed to be a chocolate cake with a layer of salted caramel and then topped with a chocolate type mousse. However, this thing tasted like they opened a can of frosting and just filled a tart shell with it. It was gritty as could be, and tasted like you were eating spoonfuls of sugar. Even their soda was semi-flat. Overall three people, two with entrees we spent over $100 and that was with no alcohol. The waiter told us a couple times that it was a new menu, but if that is the case they need to go back and try again. Again, seriously who uses dark meat for chicken parmigiana, use breast meat.
