Excellent but Expensive. If you feel like splurging, you can't beat staying at the Hyatt Regency. Rooms were excellent, good views every morning of the mountains, Mile High Stadium and the Convention Center. Close walk to the Mall on 16th Street for shopping and sight seeing.
I was in town for a convention and luckily got a group rate for my stay. Otherwise the rooms are more than my monthly mortgage payment. Parking is $35/day plus another $34.00/day for the 10.75% city occupancy tax, 4% State Sales tax and 1% Tourism Tax. So you're at $69.00/ day before you even start on the room costs.
Housekeeping was hit and miss. Rooms were clean and temperature controls functioned properly. Excellent restaurant and lounge on site, but with lots of locations close by, meals aren't a problem.
Do use caution if going out at night or by yourself. Lots of homeless people in the area so use some caution when having to deal with these individuals.
Would advise staying at the Hyatt if in Denver on business or as a treat for an evening. If you stay, try and get rooms as high as possible so that you can enjoy the view of the city. Don't settle for a lower floor and try and get anything above the 30th floor if possible.
During the day, lots of the city downtown can be accessed by foot and is very pleasant to do so in good weather.

Room Tip: South and west sides for the view of the mountains. Higher is better. Get a room away from the elevator shafts to avoid the constant noise.

To be perfectly honest, my hotel company of choice is Hilton but this property is spectacular! The staff is very attentive and the hotel itself (both inside and out) is beautiful! It was right across the street from the convention center so even when the weather turned bad during our stay, it was just a quick dash over there!

We really appreciated the friendly staff and super clean rooms! The valets and bell staff were especially helpful and friendly.

The only thing that offset this was a small door ding that we discovered on my wife’s “new” Honda Cr-V, on our return home.

Just completed a 5-day stay and this was the perfect location as it’s just adjacent to the convention center. Checked in at 9 AM and they actually had a room and were happy to assist me. Service and the hotel were awesome. The location was why I booked, the rest is why I would return.
