Description: The truth is we are a little obsessive about cake. And food. And coffee. And tea. And people. And pretty stuff. In fact, we love loads of things so we bundled them all together, gave it a shake and made The Auction Room. See you here soon?

Stopped here on way back home after hitting the mtb trails in Davagh. Perfect!
Service was friendly and down to earth. Cappuccinos were smooth. Malteser bun very sweet but just what I needed!Delicious. Quirky decor and chilled music. Didn't want to move from the sofa! Absolutely love it!

Our 3rd time here! Brought our young son this time. He loved the scramble egg and really enjoyed the fruit which came with it. Unusual but a delicious surprise. Coffee and tray bakes 1st class as always! Staff brilliant! See you again soon

In Maghera and called in for an early lunch, restaurant was homely and clean. Menu was very limited . I ordered the cream cheese and bacon beagle and coffee and that was what i got ! Plain beagle directly from the supermarket pack, dollop of tasteless cream cheese, some dead green leaves and 2 small pieces of bacon frizzled to death in a microwave. Ladies came and served me left plate and said 'enjoy' and left. Is this as good as it gets? The cost was £8.05 including the coffee, that gets a good lunch in a lot of restaurants. Maybe i expect too much, even to cheer it up with a small tomato would have helped. Poor food, badly prepared and very expensive would sum up this meal.

Hello Mohican.

Thank you for taking and making the time to visit us and to leave feedback here on TripAdvisor. As you can tell from our other reviews, customers have a really positive experience when they visit us so we are sad to read that - on this occassion - your experience wasn't up to the standards expected.

The staff member who servied you yesterday is deaf in one ear and a hearing implant in the other and feels anxious about asking questions at the table as she sometimes cannot hear. Our ethos at the AR is to offer opportunities to those who, otherwise, struggle to gain employment. We'll continue to mentor our staff to help them be the best they can be and all feedback helps in this continuing process :)

If you are in Maghera again, then we'd love you to pop in and allow us to make up for this negative experience. Simply PM us on Facebook or give us a wee call / text and we'll sort things out. No problem at all.

Neil

We stopped here for brunch on our way through Maghera. What a great find. I had delicious French toast. My friends and I were impressed. I have since recommended this café, I am looking forward to returning.

Aw this is simply lovely to hear, Missrconn.

Our staff do a wonderful job and we are so proud of them all. I will be sure to pass on this feedback to them as it really does make a difference to them.

Also, that's very kind f you to recommend us to others. We are working hard to continiously build the Auction Room and people spreading the AR love most certainly helps.

Thank you.

Ah, Michael.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us here on TripAdvisor. We were fortunate to visit Melbourne a few years ago and we were inspired by the coffee scene there. When we were lucky enough to open up in Maghera we wanted to have that level of quality here in Mid-Ulster, too. Heartening to read your review and your love of Bailies. They are the top dawgs when it comes to sourcing and roasting coffee, for sure!
