We dined at the Rustic Oven for lunch midweek, and the restaurant was not very busy at all. Our server was friendly but simply disappeared more than once and let us run out of our beverages three times.

Food flavor was slightly above average, but for the prices - about $12 for a sandwich and fries, 50 cents more for garlic fries, and $17 for a pasta entree - we simply expected more.

The restaurant looks rustic and inviting upon entry, but the 80s rock music blaring throughout the restaurant was extremely distracting and was so loud in the restroom that you could not carry on a normal conversation with someone. So the warm, cozy feeling the restaurant ads try to entice you with did not translate with the overall experience here during our visit.

Bottom line: There are less expensive restaurants in Ft. Collins which serve better food and offer better service.

A group of 8 went for the Easter brunch. Our table was available as reserved when we arrived. Our waiter was excellent, very attentive and appropriate for th three teenagers in our group. The ambiance was excellent, not too crowded as is ofter the case for holiday brunches. The brunch line was almost non existent and the variety of offerings were excellent. The prime rib was very nice. All the other brunch regulars, the omelet 'station', breakfast meats, sweets were just fine. Yes, we would certainly go again.

Aside from the fact that this restaurant is close to us, we would come here anyway if it wasn't. They have an incredibly versatile menu from some of the best mussels ever in their appetizer menu to an awesome spinach shrimp salad, great soups, and the best thin crust pizzas in town which are 50% off on Monday nights making for a $5.00 pizza! My husband's favorite is consistently the sausage and pepperoni and mine is the caprese. Their salmon dinner and sandwich menu is also great with a great turkey avocado grilled sandwich and an awesome rueben. The have pasta and steak dishes on the menu as well - so something for everyone. Service is always great with some of the personable waiters and waitresses around and Steve, the general manager, is alway so considerate and courteous. Amazing food, Amazing service.

We frequent this place occasionally and want it to be great. Great location, comfortable surroundings, nice patio for summer. On our recent visit we stopped by for happy hour. Ordered a beer and pizza. Beer was good. Pizza cake and in our opinion was burnt around the edge. I mentioned it right away and his response was, "it's not burnt". So I broke off a piece of the charred crust and begged to differ with him. He did offer to get us a new one which came out fine. It's the attitude that can make our break assn experience. We how they keep improving because we readily like the place and the happy hour.
