Good location but rooms very poorly insulated from noise. Can hear coughing from several rooms away as well as footsteps from room above. No breakfast included and parking is an extra $12 charge despite being in the middle of nowhere. Recommend looking elsewhere.
Thank you for your review MIj01. Sorry you didn't find your stay quiet with us. That is not a common issue we hear. Our breakfast is more like a restaurant style, which is made to order. We do have another property right next door to us, the Residence Inn, that does provide a complimentary breakfast. That might be a more suitable fit for your needs. Please come back and visit any of our properties next time you visit Glenwood Springs.
First off, the rooms were just so so, in dire need of a refresh. There were stains on the walls and wallpaper peeling. That's not the worst part. The pool was green and cloudy and smelled awful. I told the front desk about this multiple times and they never did anything about it. No free breakfast which my bad for not reading about in advance. Also no coffee in the lobby except paid options. Front desk said, there is coffee in your room. Well fine, except if you wake up at 5:00 am like I do and the rest of the family sleeps in, and you don't want to wake them up. And the Starbucks didn't open until 7:00. And don't get me started about the $12 a night parking charge. Just ridiculous. And the indifference of the staff is what irks me the most.

We do have another option next door to us, the Residence Inn, that provides complimentary coffee and breakfast. If you find yourself in Glenwood Springs again, please give our Residence Inn a call. While the hotel was good, there were a couple of things that did not set well with us. The first thing was they are now charging $12/day to park in their at grade parking lot. I had two room rented for a week each so that amounts to $84/week/room.
We have stayed in hotels in downtown big cities where the hotels have parking garages for guests to park in. We understand that a fee will be charged in such a hotel. However, this is a Courtyard hotel in a small Colorado town, not a big city.
The other item that bothered us was the lack of an included breakfast with the room. I feel like Marriott is nickel and dimeing their guests now. We have stayed in 3 other “small hotels” of this same caliber as this Marriott in this same area who not only do not charge to park in their at grade parking lot but also provide at least a continental breakfast with the price of the room. While we like Marriott, have been Marriott customers for a long time and have stayed at many over the years, we will be thinking twice before we stay at this one again.
When we mentioned our displeasure to the front desk we were told that we were not the only guests who had complained and that it was a corporate decision. She took our comments and the response we got came in a kind of “curt” way. Not very good customer service. Could have taken our comments in a nicer fashion and offered to pass them on to their management office.

Since we have implemented the parking fee in 2020, most of our guests have been made aware of this through the website or confirmation email. Within Marriott, the sub-brands are all different in terms of their amenities and offerings. Courtyards do not have a complimentary breakfast. They do have a made to order breakfast that is at an extra cost. The Residence Inn, which is right next door to us, does have a complimentary breakfast. Should you find yourself back in Glenwood Springs, please consider the Residence Inn.
Booked 2 queen bed accessible room. Was surprised how large the room was. Had separate sitting area on either side of the room. 1 side had couch and chair with tv, then beds with tv, after beds were 2 other chairs. Very clean, comfortable bed, large bathroom with bathtub. Staff very engaging and helpful. Quiet location. Parking a bit crowded but would stay again and recommend.

We stayed here so that we could explore the Roaring Fork Valley and Rifle Falls SP. I'm not sure where the bad reviews come from. The hotel was spotless; comfortable and the staff was really nice. The $12 parking fee is a little silly, but we knew of it in advance. There's really no need, but they make you aware in advance. Very pet friendly. Staff could not be more helpful.
