1.2 miles of steep terrain. Not a quick trip need at least 3 hours to enjoy. Plan on walking sticks and hiking shoes plus bring plenty to drink to stay hydrated!

Scenic hike be careful its a little steep! The views are nice and scenic,The lake and falls are beautiful and peaceful,The best time to go is summer or fall, and try to pick a day in the middle of the week. Also dont forgt to bring drinking water and a snack or lunch and take your time .

It is truly one of nature’s more beautiful creations indeed!
It is breathtaking!
But the hike to get there is not for the weak or the weary, especially in March when there are icy snow patches and slippery mud. I fell twice, but was determined to get there!
It is an hour to an hour and half depending on your physical condition. The hike is only a mile, but it is straight up and on very rocky terrain.

My wife and I decided to hike up to the lake during a snow storm because we knew it wouldn't be crowded. We were at the lake for an hour by ourselves, and most of that time the snow stopped so it was unreal. Go when you can enjoy it.
