We arrived for a New Year's weekend stay anticipating that the remodel was finished since we had been in an unremodeled room this summer. My husband was impressed with the tile work in the bathroom, centered perfectly behind the tub with insets. New furniture, 42 inch tv on a dresser that holds the safe, the microwave and the fridge.

The fridge and microwave are concealed behind the furniture's doors. New curtains are beautiful and the headboards have built in reading lights that are perfect for either side to read allowing the other person to sleep. The separate table has gone away and a connecting table has 3 chairs. We brought in a balcony steel chair and let it warm up in order to play cards for 4in the room . I bet there would be a folding chair available somewhere if the front desk was contacted.
We also miss the ability to turn the "fan" on in the winter for noise control. The old heating system allowed us to run the fan which blocked some of the surrounding noises.

On our arrival Friday afternoon there were cookies and coffee in the lobby which was a new surprise. Our best surprise... the breakfast $4 discount coupon has been switched for an all inclusive breakfast: omelette station, hash browns, toast, pancakes or continental breakfast with fruit, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, pastries AND a hot special like breakfast burritos or biscuits and gravy. Such a pleasure to be offered a table first to claim for breakfast and having a place to bring your breakfast back to! The new procedure has you hosted at the door waiting for a cleaned table to be available. A short wait is so preferable to the free for all of trying to find a clean table in the past. All that is missing is the bacon or sausages for breakfast but I prefer having an all inclusive breakfast to the previous discount coupon. Good job Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge!

One more thing you might like to know...there Is also a discount for booking the Spa in advance of your arrival.

Room Tip: Southside rooms have a view of the pool.

Renovated rooms are very nice - clean and comfortable with small fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and big TV. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast includes hot entrees like omelets, burritos, biscuits and gravy. Good location - easy walk across pedestrian bridge to nice restaurants downtown. The big attraction is the hot springs pool - after a day of hiking or skiing a hot soak feels great and really gets you ready to start all over again tomorrow.

A mixed adventure with ups and downs. The unlimited access to the pool was great. The breakfast was good and the people serving it were great as well. All staff in hotel and pool were friendly. However, the newly remodelled room was like a nightmare. The newly installed heating equipment was out of control and temperature went up to 75 F. The only way to bring it down was opening a sliding door. A waste of heat and money in wintertime. The high temperature kept us from having a good night sleep.

The value for the experience is really great. We had breakfast, pool and gift shop discount all included in the price of the room. The newly remodeled room - in a unique shape was a special touch. The bed was super comfortable with lovely beddings. The toiletries were nice quality and the bathroom included a nice quality blow dryer. The decor of the room was pleasing and the room included a nice size safe, fridge, and microwave. The room additionally included a nice set up for computer usage and docking station for the iphone. This was the nicest room I have seen in a really long time.

We went up on the train from Denver for a weekend spa package. We had a lovely two room suite with a view of the hot springs pool. The lodge was just newly remodeled with part of the hotel still undone. It was a mixed experience. The staff was not anymore helpful than they needed to be.....didn't get the sense they knew much about excellent customer service.
We did not want the complimentary champagne that came with our suite. When we asked for bottled water at the desk we were told it was for sale in the vending machine. the package included breakfast at the Hot Springs Grill, much more like a cafeteria with paper plates and plastic spoons etc. Not what we expected for what we paid. The highlight was the pool and the Spa. Travel half of each month..so usually find service fine wherever I am. Not at the Glenwood Springs Lodge.
