It’s well worth the 15-minute drive from Durango to eat at the Cafe Kennebec. It’s casual yet elegant. There are multiple inside rooms plus an outside patio. Seating is well separated and servers wear masks. The walls have attractive art, there’s a nice fireplace and there is a bar area. Reservations are required; carry out also is available. They are open only for dinner and for brunch on weekends.
The dinner menu had several nicely prepared and presented entrees, pasta dishes, salads and small dishes. The wine list is long; we got excellent selections for wine from our server. There are many beers including craft beers.
The only comments less than positive are that the dining area probably gets quite loud when it is full of diners and the meals were salty. Otherwise, everything was excellent.
