We ordered a catered lunch and arranged delivery with a few special requests (hence the term "catered"). After delivery, we realized that the order was incomplete, so we called the store to request the rest of our order. The response: "Well, we're really busy here." Our response: "We didn't get what we paid for, so when will you deliver it?" After further discussion (and the manager complaining that he hates his job and today is his last day), it was decided they would send someone immediately. Then they claimed we had to pay extra because we did not pay for these extra items. Because we were busy getting ready for our party, we didn't argue, so paid the added charge. After the party was over and we reviewed our invoice, we found that we did, in fact, already pay for these extra requests - they charged us twice. We have called the store and corporate office for a refund, but have yet to see it...it's been three weeks. Was the food good? It's barbecue, it's not coq au vin...pretty easy to make, but the servings were woefully small. I would not recommend Dickey's.

Worthless staff, management and business. Ordered online for a park concert with out of town family on 7/6/17.....simple family pack platter with 3 meats and 4 sides.......too make a long story short....only got 2 sides. How do u mess up a ticket that prints out and does the math for you on what you need to prepare. And then there supposed to double check the order before handing to you.

My ask: don't give them your business, let em go bankrupt and fold. Something better will come in

To be fair, Highlands Ranch is about as far from real BBQ country as you're gonna get so this is probably the "best" BBQ option available within the soulless warren of McMansions lovingly referred to a "the Ranch" by its inhabitants. Unless scared suburnites who all drive huge white SUVs is considered a culture, "The Ranch" really has none so its nice that at least some of the food options here aren't completely bland.

The beef brisket and smoked chicken were decent...the chicken was a bit dry but it was still edible despite that. Of the sides, the bacon and onion green beans were the best of the 3 options we tried (potato casserole and mac and cheese being the other two options we had).

The best portion of the meal was the kiebasa slider which was tacked on in a last second moment of spontaneity/impulse purchase.

Some points of concern...the interior of the restaurant could use a good scrubbing, especially the kitchen prep areas. The employees initially forgot one of our sides for our takeout but fortunately caught their mistake prior to us leaving (as we were going through the bag ourselves to make sure we got everything).

Overall, its a decent takeout option.

We love their BBQ, and friendly service. That said, the place could use a really good cleaning. They do sometimes run out of things, but they do a tremendous amount of business, and the BBQ is delicious.

I only right reviews when someone either exceeds or underperforms expectations. This is about the latter, and the Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Centennial/Highlands Ranch CO.

1. When we came into the store with our grandkids, we ordered Mac and Cheese as one of the sides. They were out. Fair enough, it can happen. But this was the second time with our grand kids they were out. My wife raised this issue, and to the store's credit they offered us a discount and tossed in some extra ribs.

2. Our complaints however deal with restaurant cleanliness. Neither bathroom had soap in the dispensers. Additionally the lock on the women's restroom didn't lock. One wonders how many other customers weren't able to wash their hands, then handle everything from eating utensils to the soda stand. Additionally when attempting to operate the ice cream machine, all that came out was a white soupy mix, not ice cream.

3. I did talk with the owner, but at no time did she offer this simple customer service rule: "How can we make this up to you?" Additionally, when following up on a complaint to Dickey's Corporate, their website is preventing me from submitting a follow-up to my initial complaint.

4. We'll certainly visit other Dickey's stores, they do have great food. But we won't be returning to this location. Far too many issues that ownership apparently doesn't care much about.
