Description: Award-winning romantic fine dining experience in the heart of historic downtown Manitou Springs. Voted "Best Wait Staff" (Gold) and "Best Fine Dining" (Bronze) and "Best Place for a Celebration," The Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant is locally owned by the same hosts for 22 years and is considered one of the charter members of Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce. The Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant offers a rare, intimate dining experience where guests are invited to relax, linger, savor, and enjoy unrushed time together. Our signature 4-Course Fondue Dinner includes salad, cheese fondue, entree platter, and chocolate fondue. Unlike fondue in hot oil or broth, our entree platters feature table-top raclette grilling of delicious cuts of meat, seafood, sausages, and vegetables along with locally baked bread and fresh vegetables. We offer an extensive wine and beer menu including wine flight experiences in the dining room and happy hour in Mona's Cellar downstairs. The Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant is listed among the most romantic restaurants in the Pikes Peak Region's and has also made the list of America's most romantic restaurants.

First time fondue diner and I was skeptical. Remember this name- Calvin Carter! His level of service coupled with fresh, delicious, well prepared cuisine and suggested pairings of wine gave levels of satisfaction that remain unmeasured! Salad was Fresh! Brie cheese course on the mark! Elk, Bison, Duck, Boar sausage, Bratwurst, Shrimp, Salmon, Trout and Teriyaki Steak all succulent and filling! The Flaming Turtle Chocolate course definitely brought the dining experience to new levels!! To top it all off the house suggested wine pairings were spot on. Thank you Calvin Carter and Mona Lisa for an unforgettable dining experience and our new #1 dining destination in Colorado. Mike and Christie.

If you're looking for romance and a shared dining experience, take the time, spend the money, and come to the Mona Lisa. It won't disappoint-the food is fresh, the service is top notch, and, I might add-they do an impeccable job of knowing just how much privacy you want when you dine. Highly recommend making reservations and hiring a babysitter.

Located on the main drag in the heart of Manitou Springs is an historic three-story building that you could easily walk on past without the special knowledge that up the wooden stairs and inside is a hidden gem of a restaurant for very special occasions (unless you happen to be so fortunate that dropping over $100 for a meal for two is no big deal). As for us, we scraped together our nickels and enjoyed an amazing time in a world of our own in the "Lover's Lane" room. Great food, superior service and a wonderful experience overall. You'll have to try it yourself and I am certain you'll agree.

Wonderful meal and our server Ian was great. Really unique menu and excellent service. Dessert was awesome and they even accepted our coupon for half off the second meal form our entrainment book. My fiance was so excited...

After two weeks on the road and eating at countless steakhouses, pizzerias, burger joints, hotels and fast food places, we were really getting tired of the same ol' same ol'. Boy are we glad we came across the Mona Lisa. My husband and our two teens showed up around 7pm with no reservations and were promptly seated in a small intimate room we had to ourselves. We ordered the four course meal ($43 p/p) and hoped for the best--we were not disappointed! Jerry was our server for the evening and took great care of us--answering any questions we may have, giving us tips on how to best cook our meals and always making sure our drinks were topped off. First course were salads--we had the house and the Caesar at our table and all were good. Then came the cheese course with breads and veggies. Third was the main entree--we went with the traditional meats and were pleased with the variety of chicken fish sausage and steak. And finally the dessert--I have only one word...yummmmm!!! So our tips to others... 1) Pace yourself. It's easy to nibble and nibble and then get to the dessert and be too full which would be a crying shame. I know it's hard to not go for that last bit of cheese or ask for more bread or roasted potatoes but you'll be glad you did when dessert comes around. 2) Although there are plenty of upgrades to fancier cheeses, entrees etc. (for an additional price per person) we stuck with the basics for all except one dessert option and were quite pleased. 3) the one upgrade we did was the Decadent white chocolate option for dessert. Do it! It was amaaaazing! All in all, everyone had plenty to eat and we almost finished all the dessert. A final note...Getting two teens off their phones/video games seems to be impossible these days but we found that everyone was really engaged in the interactive nature of the fondue/cooking and we had a great leisurely dinner with lots of laughter and conversation. Good food, good times. Thanks Jerry for making it a great evening for us!
