We spent three days at the Sundance Trail and enjoyed every minute! All staff members were so friendly and professional. They made us feel so comfortable from the moment we arrived. The meals and lodging were awesome. We especially enjoyed the hot tub after a day of horseback riding. We can't say enough good things about Sundance Trail and are looking forward to making our way back next year.

We attended the sundance trail guest ranch for and extended family vacation and it ranks as one of the best vacations i have taken my family on. Dan, Ellen and their entire staff just knew how to do everything right. The meals were excellent and catered to all and any or out dietary needs. The staff of wrangelerscompletely and very quickly understood our riding abilities and was able to have us off on the trails meeting the expectations of the entire family...Our riding experiance was as varied as it could possibly get. From a daughter in law who had never even touched a live horse before to a neice who has ahd many years of lessons....there was a horse matched to each of us in no time. They even were able to deal with me as i tested them on a daily basis...I can only say thank you to Ellen, Dan and probably one of the best recreational wrangler staffs out there....We cannot wait for the chance to get back there and would highly reccomend the Sundance Trail Ranch to all....

Sundance Trail Guest Ranch is the perfect place to become that cowboy or cowgirl you always wanted to be. The owners make you feel part of the family with their warm and relaxed attitude. The horses they assign you, according to your ability and experience, are well-mannered and sure-footed on the many trails they offer. There is an excellent staff of young wranglers who are respectful of your needs and very helpful and encouraging. There are many other activities you may choose from including rock climbing and white-water rafting, all under the direction of experts. The owners run a well-managed guest ranch. There are cozy rooms with firm, comfortable beds, great after a day of riding. An outdoor jacuzzi, too, great for tired muscles. The food is very delicious at every meal. My sister and I hit the jackpot with Sundance Trail for a cowgirl getaway that will be a treasured memory always.

We have been to Sundance Trail Ranch several different times and consider it one of the best weeks of our year! This horse ranch is the perfect blend of an authentic Western experience without having to sacrifice any creature comforts a guest would expect from a comfortable family resort.
The ranch maintains an amazing stable of horses that can accommodate any level of experience, from the first time rider to more advanced skill levels. Dan and Ellen take their guests safety on horseback very seriously and take the time to make sure that everyone has the information and training to make their experience very positive and we definitely felt that we were prepared before we hit the trail.
The wilderness area surrounding the ranch is some of the most beautiful country we have ever seen! It just cannot be any more spectacular! Bring your cameras because you will want to take lots and lots of pictures. In addition to horseback riding, there were many opportunities for delightful hikes, a shooting range, a half day rock climbing expedition, live musical entertainers and river rafting.
We really appreciated the fact that Sundance Trail is a small ranch with an average of 20 - 24 guests each week during the summer months. The emphasis is on "family." Dan and Ellen have done an amazing job of creating a truly unique experience and you certainly will not be disappointed with your visit to Sundance, we can hardly wait to go back!

Del and Candy-Lady Kelly! We treasure all of the years we have shared the campfires and watched our kids grow. Your visit is always one of the highlights of the summer. Thank you for your support and friendship. Until next summer, stay warm!

We have stayed at 4 different dude ranches over the years and this is the one we plan on returning to. The ranch is unpretentious yet surrounded by absolutely beautiful scenery. The big draw is the hosts - Dan and Ellen are warm and friendly and surround themselves with staff who possess these same qualities. The riding is tailored to each individual's comfort and skill level, and the scenery on the rides is breathtaking. The accommodations are comfortable, the food plentiful and the overall atmosphere is one of relaxation. As a bonus, they are pet-friendly - our dog gave it two paws up.
