This is a very nice and interesting ride going up the Andes... Views are very interesting... The roads are tricky and I would never drive it by myself... A tour is the only way to do it.. Some of the views are outstanding

Many families gather here. There are arts and crafts booths and opportunities for photos. Our amazing guide Marta Rued (m.martarueda@gmail.com) told us the history and took us to wineries and to the high andes- she is the best guide we have had in over 40 years of travel.

Since we weren't very interested in wine tours(espeically in winter time)
we found out there weren't much to do in Mendoza.
We ended up booking VIllavicencio Day Tour through argentina4u.com.
Our choice was excellent!

The booking process was easy, we were picked up on time,
the guide was bilingual and last but not least, tour itself was amazing!

The nature of Mendoza is speechless.
During the tour, you'll get to see the breathtaking view from the mirador,
and visit Villavicencio, a hotel located deep inside the mountain and was closed in 1970's .

The tour starts from 8am to 1pm and it costs $23USD per person.
Definitely worth a visit!

This place is incredible, you can see the old hotel as well as climb a pretty little mountain that will allow you too see the amazing mountains of Mendoza from another perspective, a lot of agencies take you to this place as part of the "Alta Montaña" tour, totally worth it!
