For starters, this hotel is pet friendly which I am so grateful for. I have two dogs and a lot of hotels won't let us stay there because combined they exceed a lot of 80 lb maximums at other locations. But I'm conflicted on other aspects of the hotel. I almost feel like they tried really hard to make improvements to the hotel, but didn't improve it entirely.

Pros:
*Pet friendly
*Great breakfast
*Beds were extremely comfortable
*Upgrades to the room ie furniture, etc were nice
*Fridge and microwave in the room

Cons:
*Dog feces outside is EV.ERY.WHERE - for one, shame on the owners, this is disgusting, but two, it's a reality the hotel needs to deal with and clearly they aren't/don't-and for being pet friendly, there aren't a lot of places to take the dogs out (green space)
*The outside of the hotel in general hasn't been shown much love-it's almost like they spent money improving the inside and neglected the outside?
*Limited TV channels-we were trying to catch a game on Fox on Saturday night, saw on the screen that the channel was unavailable-when we asked the front desk about it, we were told "well, some of the rooms don't get all of the channels, we can move you to another room if you'd like" do you know which rooms get all the channels and which ones don't? "No" So......are we going to do a room shuffle until we find one? Nevermind
*Our sheets had a few small stains on them
*The hotel is tucked back a little ways off the main road, so it's a little tough to get back to-convenient in terms of not being far off the highway though

Overall, we were a little disappointed in our stay. If in the area again, we might consider it given their pet friendly policy, but it probably wouldn't be a first choice. A little more efforts in a few extra places would go a long way for this location!

We were traveling through Colorado after driving for 14 hours. This place was very convenient to the highway and we popped in to see if they had any vacancies. We were in luck. Our room was very nice and clean. All the kids wanted to do was watch TV, but we couldn't get it to work. Luckily, the hotel staff very quickly realized somebody had plugged an XBox into it and not reconnected some cables. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Beds were comfortable and the swimming pool area is nice. A pleasant place to stay for sure.

To start with the positives: the memory foam beds are very comfortable, we love that we can stay here with our large dogs, and the hotel is very convenient to trailheads and we even walked to dinner in the evening.

Just be warned that this hotel is old and run down. This building has been through a roster of management / ownership over the years and gets worse with each turn. The bathroom in our room was tiny and outdated. The AC sort of works but is not highly effective. The hotel grounds are not well kept or landscaped. Our two-queens room was dark with no place to sit but the beds or the floor.

Take this hotel for what it is - a pet-friendly base camp for adventure!

We were planning to stay here for 3 nights, but changed hotels after the first night. The room did not feel clean at all - there were hand prints on the windows and bird poop on the floor in the loft. One of my biggest pet peeves is finding trash in a room from previous guests - and sure enough, there was a styrofoam cup under the bed. The sink didn't drain and neither did the bath tub. All in all...not a great experience, and I couldn't check out fast enough.

This hotel is a distater. The moment we walked in the sheets appeared unwashed, the bathroom curtain was torn in several places, and some of the siding on the wall was falling off. The shower drain was so full of hair from over the years it wouldn't drain, so we had to pull it out ourselves. On our second day the cleaning service failed to come. We asked for them to replace the fan as it didn't work, and one of the light bulbs was out, and they failed to fix the issue. The carpet was also ripped, and the TV was broken. We had flowers for a wedding and put them in the fridge overnight, and because the fridge was broken it froze them and almost ruined them. The pillows are tiny and some plug-ins don't work. The lady working the breakfast station wasn't refilling the food, and the tables were all dirty.
I could go on more, but I think you get the idea.
