Basically we needed a high end location for family and business; $500 weekend rooms per night in Vail is at the high end but worth it. Hotel open 7 days so a few things left on construction checklists. Exceptional staff; great lounge, architecturally striking, ski shop off the lobby. You are not at the slopes, but Ale House , etc within walking distance. Drive to Vail village, or their shuttle is required.

My college-aged daughters and I stayed here early March 2018 for the "soft opening" of this hotel. We are from Telluride, are skiers, and had a great expereince. All of the staff was super friendly. The hotel had a boutique feel to it. I stay at Hilton Hotels every week, this Doubletree is near the top. Brand new rooms, very cool bar and lobby, and a bus that will take you around Vail. No need to pay $25 to park and ski when the hotel shuttle will drop you right off at the slopes! We parked our cars when we arrived and never needed them during our stay. There were not a lot of guests at the hotel, since this was the first week. The bar will be hopping once word gets out that the hotel is open for business. We were treated very well by all the staff. Breakfast in the restaurant was really good!

Room Tip: We were in Room 339, end of hall, back towards the mountain and quiet.
