Located under the Vail Visitor Center, next to the free, topside Parking Lot, we were glad to find it, but mainly because of the food! Primarily Tex-Mex (IMHO), one of us had the very authentic and tasty #1, which was 2 crispy, shredded-beef (ground-beef is my favorite) tacos with rice, beans, a basket of chips (tortilla) and your choice at the serve-yourself salsa bar. On the other hand, I had the most excellent grilled cheese sandwich, with tomato slices and many slices of crisp bacon piled on before being grilled. This was served with a large pile of very good french fries. Awesomeness, food-ified. Since this was toward the end of the off, or "mud", season, they weren't crowded and one of the very few restaurants open. Seating is somewhat limited. We placed our order at the bar, was given a number to be placed on our table, and our food was delivered to us not long after. Free soft drink refills, too! The 2- or 3-person staff worked hard to keep everything flowing smoothly.
