We stayed here just one night before a Prairie Chicken tour, but I wanted to praise it for its comfort and attractiveness, and the fact that the owner was up at 4:25 am to give us a bag of muffins and juice before our tour (we overslept and were a little late, but she stuck around downstairs and waited for us). For around $100, we had two good sized rooms, bedroom with a king bed and a living area with TV, and bath, in which everything worked, including wifi, and as I said, was attractive, comfortable and true to the age period of the house.

What a beautiful home! Built 1907, expanded into a boarding house (apartments) in 1937, converted into B&B in 1991.

Larry & Pam were excellent hosts. Pam's tasty breakfasts, with player piano background music, are served at your requested time. They included juice, fresh fruit, choice of hot cereal or an entree such as pancakes & eggs or Denver omelette, and coffee or latte. My wife says Larry makes a mean Mocha - better than Starbucks!

Our suite was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. (The only improvement would have been a small fridge.) After the first night I mentioned to Pam it would be nice if there was a small table on my side of the bed for my glasses & phone–that night there was a table. Awesome service!

The house is full of antique furniture, lights, and especially lots of mirrors. We would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: The two smaller rooms do not have a fridge. The two larger room have a fridge and cooking facilities.

Went in March for a Greater Prairie Chicken Tour. This is an historic property which is beautifully maintained, roomy, and perfect for being able to walk to anyplace in town! Lots of parking out front, and Pam and Larry, the proprieters, are terrific resouces for anything you need. (They also understand the early rising time in the lives of birders.) The property is quiet, the neighborhood is great, and you will be glad you stayed here!

Room Tip: We stayed in the King Suite, a large apartment with room to spread out. Very nice!
