Located in downtown Hartford, there are plenty of restaurants, shops and easy access to public transportation near the hotel. We found several Dunkin Donuts within walking distance, a couple of great eating spots - Trumble Kitchen had good food and reasonable prices. We night capped at a Jamaican restaurant- The Russell which had 1/2 price appetizers, excellent jerk wings, coconut shrimp, and yucca fries. My friend had a Watermelon martini which was "sweet but good". The food at the restaurant beside the hotel was not that great, service was slow, look elsewhere!
The room had an issue (air conditioner was not functioning properly) which was promptly addressed by the staff. The front desk staff was helpful, and friendly. It was clean, and housekeeping was good. One double room had bathroom, the king room did not have a bathroom, but there was a second bathroom off of the kitchen area.
It is located right across from the park, which had a parade. There was noise but it was over at 10, and we had no problems with high noise levels.
All in all, it was a good experience. The front desk makes a refreshing cooler every evening which was excellent after a long day of conference activities. The breakfast is standard complimentary hotel breakfast. I would stay here again.More
