Fantastic place to just sit and watch the tide rool up the river and watch waves crashing on the rocks. Sadly no refreshment available at this time of year. Pay car park although not too costly.
Watch the fast incoming tide as you may get caught!

nice, beach rode out on horse back along it, its a real shame that others using each to camp, or bbq etc, dont clean up after themselves as the rubbish does let it down although some washes up from the tides, and that is where we all are responsible for keeping sea litter free.

This is a nice beach to spend the day if you want to avoid the crush of more popular beaches. Parking is easy and close to the beach, £4 for the day. There are no shops or cafes so you need to bring everything with you, there is a wagon selling tea, coffee and burgers etc but it was very basic, not sure i would rely on it. You are allowed to BBQ on the beach. Dogs are allowed on the beach, so if you are not a fan of dogs I feel you may not like it here because although there were signs saying dogs should be kept on a lead dog owners seemed to ignore this.

Great (if pebbley walk down to sea) beach, clean, tidy, dog friendly (only one locally allowing dogs May-Sept). Usually parking spaces to be found although charges steep if you arrive before 4pm. Great rocks and rock pools, fine for barbecues, water quality can be murky until you clear where pebbles/sand meet. Water temperature variable - does warm up from gulf strem and this summer with warm temperatures water is warm from mid morning through till evening. Difficult water access for those in wheelchairs or unsteady on feet due to pebbles, about 300ft from parking to water at summer high tide currently. Level swimming on sandy beach once clear of pebbles, beware of rocks at high tide. As of mid July 2013 beware of small biting sea creatures (very like sea lice - maybe coming in off gulf stream), irritating, will draw blood, 3-4mm long - in water and aggravating to paddlers/bathers. Safe swimming for all ages, regular coastguard patrols. Jetski's, dingys, kayaks all ok.

This has to be one of the most interesting and pleasant beaches in Wales. A convenient car park with toilet facilities and an easy stroll down to the beach itself. There are numerous rock pools for children and adults to explore, a sandy beach at low tide and a nice view. There was a van parked in the car park with reasonably priced and delicious ice cream.
