Typical, fairly sterile Hyatt decor. Some things needed a bit of TLC in our room.
The faucet on the wet bar leaked at the base of the goose neck, so when you turned off the water, you ended up with a puddle around the faucet handle. The shower/tub had a nice shower head, but the tub was not draining well. The A/C was very effective, but also quite loud. Beds were nice and comfortable, but the room layout was definitely not good. The flat-screen TV was halfway between the bed area and the sitting area. No one could see the TV well, so I guess the room designer decided that was a good compromise; Bad choice.
We saved about $100 over a similar room for the three nights at the Hilton Garden Inn just about 4 blocks away. I will likely spend the extra money and stay there next time.
Not a bad stay, just not a really good one either. The staff was exceptionally nice, which did make up for the other things to a degree. The "free" breakfast was fine, nothing extraordinary, but there were sufficient choices, plenty of coffee, juices, cereals, or things for littler guests. Sort of tucked into a corner, so when it was busy, there was not much room to move around. Adequate, would be my description.More
