we ate at Capt Scotts the day after thanksgiving for lunch. the food was out of this world good. Hot lobster roll, shrimp po boy, shrimp plate, even the chicken fingers were delicious. we really enjoy eating here when we come to town.

We chose this café to experience a bit of New England cuisine, and because it was about halfway between New York City and Boston on a recent road trip. We ate our lobster rolls outdoors on the picnic tables on a sparkling autumn day. The restaurant will close soon for the season, and the waitress remarked on the unseasonably warm weather. I'm glad the weather held out for our trip. The bread rolls were soft and fluffy, and the lobster was sweet, fresh and generously served. This was one of the best meals of our trip !

Came here recently for dinner and really enjoyed it. I started with a lobster bisque which was delicious. I then had the sea scallops, and they were equally nice. The staff (at the window) was very nice and the prices were in line with expectations. In conclusion, the place to go in New London for a nice seafood dinner!

Expected a lot from the reviews. You have to order yourself and we waited a really long time to get the food. By the time we got the food it was lukewarm. The fried clams were good but not hot. The lobster was tough and hard to get out of the shell- either undercooked or overcooked or old, something. The drawn butter wasn't tasty. Didn't like the corn, etc. I personally would not go back. Much better seafood elsewhere that's not so difficult a time. You can have a server elsewhere come to your table for better food. On the river, interesting. The ride in makes you think you are definitely going the wrong way just so you know.
