great hotel just a short (5 minute) drive from Foxwoods. Had concert tickets on a Friday and Foxwoods want $400 for a night. I chose the Belissimo because the reviews were good and location seemed good. Both were correct. Clean room, really friendly staff. Shuttle to and from casino every half hour starting at 4pm and running till 1am. I didn't use it but it seemed fair enough. This seems to be an older hotel that recently had a lot of updates. new wallpaper, new carpets and flooring and very comfortable beds. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Next time I would try the bistro downstairs or room service

I booked a one night stay and after 5 minutes in the room, wished we could've stood longer.

The room was beautiful and offered plenty of amenities. Our king sized bed had an extremely comfortable mattress and was set facing a wall mounted television and electric fire place. The size of the room was large enough to comfortably fit additional furniture, giving the room a cozy feel. There was a fridge, although we didn't use it. The bathroom was large and offered a standup shower, his and her sinks and a large hot tub, with a small flat screen tv.

Rather than hop on the shuttle to the casino, we decided to stay in and enjoy the room!

checked in was quick but the rooms are seriously dated and the walls are paper thin. I could hear the next room having sex the room above me was having late night music... Not a huge fan... The staff was nice though, I mean you can only work with what you're given.

Room Tip: watch for hidden fees at the end.

Great room with a hot tub and victorian style really set the tone for a romantic getaway. A few of my favorite perks to this hotel was the free shuttle service to the casino, lovely service from the hotel customer service, and the price compared to the hotels down the road. The complimentary breakfast was perfect to send us on the road home.

Booked 2 rooms, 1 night Groupon stay Called hotel 1 one week ahead, asked for early arrival, late check out, adjoining rooms if possible. Very pleasantly told 'Absolutely, no problem at all." Arrived about 12noon and figured rooms might not be ready but inquired anyways. Told 'no, hotel completely sold out the night before'. OK, understandable with Fri/Sat night shows at Foxwoods. Very pleasantly told could complete check in process, and as soon as rooms ready, we'd be texted, and confirmed late check out at 12noon no problem. No text received. Returned at 3pm - regular check in time. New customer service representative, told we'd already checked in. "No, that was just pre-registration, we have to complete the process now that you are here.' Prior representative came out, said 'it's all done.' Given room keys, we asked, can the door between the rooms be opened?" Told, 'you need to go to your room and call us and then we will come to open." (Weird) Arrived to rooms, housecleaning still in both rooms cleaning.Called front desk, representative seemed dismayed, asked if we wanted to wait until rooms were done or move to new rooms? Really...pretty sure we wanted the rooms since we'd arrived 3 hours prior. She came to meet us, take us to new rooms and did open adjoining doors since we had to move rooms. Apologized, stating "we'll make it up to you, will do something on the house for the inconvenience."
Next morning, knock on door at 11am, housekeeping manager stated check out was at 11. Informed we had late check out at 12. Upon leaving, told front desk staff of our disappointment and displeasure with prior customer service representative. Apology provided and asked 'if we'd like something to make up for it'. YES, of course, since we had previously been offered but didn't receive! Advised could not get monetary reimbursement because it was a groupon but would be sent an email for a future upgrade to presidential suite room with purchase at regular room price, for a Sun-Thur night. Nice gesture, but since 2/3 of us are retired and on a very fixed income, ie reason for purchase of groupon on a nonweekend night, not much of a 'we'll do something for the inconvenience." Asked if we could have a free night, advised 'no' but this offer is good for a year."
Overall, good basic room but plastic drinking cups, paper coffee cups not the standard any more. Restaurant dining hours much shorter than advertised; no morning room service, coffee bar kiosk completely empty with no staff..Seems to only cater to those staying on weekends...but what about those of us who aren't 'big spenders' who can't afford the all around elevated weekend rates?
