Similar to some of the other past reviewers, our stay at the hotel this past weekend was also marked with major air conditioner malfunctions.

None of the common areas (lobby, elevator, bar) had working air conditioning and though we were told that the issue was being worked on, even when we checked out on Sunday morning, the air was spotty at best. On one of the hottest weekends of the summer in the northeast, this was totally unacceptable. Our guest room air conditioning was also spotty, and we were afraid to turn it much cooler for fear of losing power of it all together. To me, preparing for a hot weekend and a full/sold out hotel should be part of hotel protocol. We passed an engineer in the elevator who noted that the air conditioners in the hotel are only equipped to handle an outside temperature of 90 degrees, and anything above that shuts them off or causes them to work improperly. I've never heard of something like this, as most people use the air conditioner for HIGH hot temperatures.

We were not offered fans or anything else to compensate for the issue.

In addition, the desk staff seemed totally uninformed about the hotel in general. When asked about the Hilton Honors program, I was told to "call corporate - they could tell you more."

We won't return or recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Norwalk/Westport area.

Our room was on the 7th floor and very nice, it looked out over the Costco parking lot. It was very hot outside but our room was very cool when we checked in. This place is on a busy street with lots of big box stores and fast food places. Since we had a back room it was super quite. Our breakfast in the morning was outstanding, they had a chef which would make any kind of omlete you wanted. It was a sit down breakfast in the dining area and was included in the room price. This area does not have very many places to select from so I think this is the best available one.

Room Tip: Get a room on the 7th or 8th floor if possible.

We booked 2 rooms through a popular bidding site for a quick overnight stop on the way to Boston. Hotel had free parking and was just off the interstate.

Check in was quick and friendly. Was told hotel was completely full and did not have connection rooms. Maybe it was because the hotel was full, but free internet was awfully slow. One of the worse speeds I have ever experienced.

We had an issue with the plumbing and called down to the front desk. They said someone would be right up. After 20 minutes and no maintenance, I fixed it myself.

Room has nice decor, bed was good, but did not have a mini fridge.

I would recommend for a short stay.

This hotel is so-so, especially for a Hilton property. I was there during the summer and the rooms were hot with little help from the A/C. The corridors and elevators were unbearable - 90+. The Executive Lounge staff was excellent and the breakfast was good. The evening appetizers and cocktails were very low quality most days.

Went for my sisters wedding. They dropped my sisters cake. They had no AC on in the hotel or in the room where my sisters reception was. Staff did not care. They did not bring fans until the reception was over. They were ill informed and could not answer the simple questions I had for example: where they put the containers that we brought stuff in.

This was generally a good hotel for a family get together. The staff were all very friendly and the service was very good. The restaurant was particularly good. Unfortunately, the bed in our room was old, and sagged in the middle. It reminded us of the I Love Lucy episode in which Fred and Ethel share a bed in their trip across the country to California. Funny in hind site, but it made for a long night.

The hotel was quite busy when we were there. It's apparently a hot spot for weddings/events. It is clean and the staff is attentive. The lobby is attractive. The kids enjoyed the pool, and we adults appreciated that there was ample, free parking. We would've liked more affordable dining options or a continental breakfast, as the hotel restaurant was quite expensive. This left us with taking the kids to McDonald's for breakfast several times-- less than ideal. Alternately, if they'd provide a mini-fridge this would be helpful as an alternative. Overall, though, it was a pleasant experience, and we'd consider using the hotel again.
