We were looking for a hotel for one night on our way to Italy. We searched for "not too expensive" and "not too far from the A2" just before the Gotthard. This small hotel seemed a bit. And we were not disappointed at all. It is indeed an extremely small hotel (2 rooms). The location is great, the rooms are big enough, the restaurant is very good.
We had the small room (no lake view), with a comfortable bed, a clean and large enough bathroom and coffee/tea facility (with a complimentary bottle of spring water).
The breakfast was more than sufficient, all fresh.
The diner was very good, large portions, well prepared.

Room Tip: The big room (no 1) has a lake view

Quality food, stunning scenery, exceptional service!
Seegarden was a beautiful stop instead of cooking. Located in the tiny town Isleten near Bauen. They looked after us and coped well with us not speaking a word of Swiss! I think they found us a bit entertaining.
Salad bar with authentic swiss salads. It was a positive experience!
Danke :)

The hotel is at the edge of lake Lucerne and the scenery was stunning. The room was very nice and the facilities were good. The hot drinks tray was very welcome as was the heating as although only September the evening and mornings were quite chilly . The breakfast was served in the conservatory overlooking the lake and blankets were provided if you were feeling the chill. The food was very good with ham, cheese etc. The wifi was free and worked well. We had an evening meal there which was very good and the fish was lovely. The staff were pleasant and helpful and there was free parking on site.

my sons and I were traveling to the alps and wanted to stay on lake Luzern. This was the perfect place to stay. It might be difficult to reach without a rental car, but having a rental car allowed us to find nice, small hotels like this. The location was ideal: right on the lake with incredible views. THe breakfast included was served on a terrace on the water. There is a nice hiking trail right behind the hotel. We liked the hotel a lot because it was away from the major tourist areas. Also, the room was very neat and clean. the breakfast was an excellent typical European breakfast. Wifi works good.
There is a road outside the hotel, so it is important to have earplugs at night. I you are a light sleeper, ask for a room lakeside.

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room

We stayed in room 1 (annex to main hotel) which was spacious, light and modern. The window overlooked partly the lake and partly the road, but since the road led only to the small cul de sac town of Bauen there was hardly any traffic. The hot drinks tray was really well provisioned in contrast to the bathroom where the only "knick knack" was liquid soap. I know I'm being picky but the shower was a bit cramped. Breakfast was served from 09.00 by a very cheerful and lovely lady (the owner?). The croissants and bread rolls were fresh and warm, perfectly boiled eggs in little hats appeared from nowhere as did a coffee refill, and there was the usual array of meats and cheeses. We didn't dine here as we'd had a huge lunch on the Susten pass. Apart from a boat terminal and the hotel there is nothing at Isleton and it's not easy to stroll anywhere: Bauen (25 min walk) is reached by two tunnels and there didn't appear to be any pavement heading towards Altdorf.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room with a lake view
