“Great pool, beautiful villa - but you definitely need a car!”
Reviewed October 30, 2017 for a stay in October 2017

I was impressed by the size of the villa inside - it had plenty of space for us six adults and two young children - and it's nicely decorated. The pool and grass area next to it were also great and it's so quiet.

We arrived quite late and there aren't really any shops close by (there is a tiny mini-market in the next village about 20 mins walk away) - but Dina left us some bread, milk, cookies and apples which were very much appreciated.

A couple of things to consider:
- You definitely need a car to stay here as it's very far from any large town - but this itself was rather lovely - it felt very quiet and chilled.
- If you are booking late in the season - you may not have any hot water. Due to bad weather, we went without hot water for 3 days at the end of our trip. We also had some problems with electricity during very bad rain.
- Young children - the pool area is great! But the stairs inside the property are quite dangerous for very young children as there is no safety rail on the side.
- The owners can be hard to get hold of - but they do generally respond to text messages etc. eventually. We had no problem checking in even though this was later than expected.

“amazing, quiet, comfortable, luxurious”
Reviewed August 19, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We had an amazing time in Villa Olga. The houses are new, built with eye for detail, very charming, comfortable, luxurious. Local products were waiting for us as we arrived.

The pool is lovely, the kids enjoyed playing in it very much.
The village is quiet and picturesque, and the location as well. The nearby beach and villages are all very authentic, and beautifully located on this remote peninsula of Crete.

“Lovely traditional villa, perfect for exploring Chania by car”
Reviewed September 11, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Stayed in this lovely villa, with two teens and our 9 year old. Pool really clean and quiet, villa clean and spacious with lots of character, the owners left us some fruit and other essentials to start our holiday which was very much appreciated. You do need a car to stay and explore from this small village but for us this added to the charm. The view from the balcony of the moonlight and the sea was beautiful, the neighbouring village of Afrata had a couple of family run restaurants with typical Greek food (including interesting wild cactus fruit for dessert) and nearby Kolymbari had a bigger supermarket to stock up for your stay and more restaurants to sample. 3 large bedrooms which sleeps 8 (plus a sofa bed) and two fully equipped bathrooms were a godsend with so many girls in the house.
We have stayed in 7 different properties in various parts of Greece in the last 3 years and this was our absolute favourite. It was very quiet and serene and we hope to come again.
