The first time we went here when we were finished the bus boy was told we wanted leftovers packed and he threw them out . The meal had been good and when we spoke with the bartender he got the restaurant to give us a small gift card. Overall the food is ok but somewhat overpriced.

We went to Max Prime Steak in Woodbury for lunch to try the place out.
I was not that impressed. The best part of the meal was the calamari appetizer. My husband had a NY Strip(Way overpriced as being on a lunch menu). He said it was okay.
I had the California burger as it was lunch time. I was not at all impressed with the flavor nor the texture of the meat.
I will not be revisiting Max Prime again.

We stopped here for dinner on a Monday night; the restaurant itself is lovely, but the service and food left a lot to be desired. Our waitress took our wine order, then left and wasn't seen for 45 minutes, when she returned, she took the order, asked several times if we wanted more wine throughout the evening, then we were served mediocre food (oversalted/seasoned chicken) 3 shrimp for a cocktail and the Max Chef Salad, which was a melange of ugly lettuces, tossed with something but we never did find the "citrus dressing"---attention to detail at a place like this should be paramount---we won't be back, it was expensive (2 glasses of wine, 1 entree, shrimp cocktail and a salad was $121) The menu is a bit weird as well, are they a sushi bar, a prime meat house, or seafood restaurant? Definitely not worth your time, for the price, and the quality of the food.

While the bartender was attentive, our waiter was not. The place is nice, cozy and the food is good, but they need to talk on the service

This was the first time we revisited the restaurant and the new owners after it changed management. We were very happy that we did. The food was fresh and with a wonderful presentation. We were not rushed at all, and a wide variety of questions we had on the menu were answered by a very knowledgeable wait staff.

We will be back on a regular basis
