4 of us stayed here for a golf break for the second time in 3 years. On both occasions we've had a good experience. The staff are very helpful and the rooms were again clean and comfortable. Another element I like is that the door have a soft closer on meaning no banging of doors at night - nice touch. There was plenty of choice for breakfast. We didn't use the restaurant this time, instead decided to venture out to the Rose Inn in Bearsted. Its a pub and Indian restaurant, very good.

Held business meeting here and stayed with colleagues. Meeting room perfectly met our needs and we even enjoyed the generously filled sandwiches. Bedroom was pleasant, comfortable and clean. However, it was a long trek up and down stairs and corridors. Boiling hot radiator was hard to control at night and as I was on ground floor I was concerned to open the window. Otherwise, it was a lovely bed, great shower. Great choice of food for breakfast including"egg" chef. I would stay again. Sadly didn't have time for swim or golf.

We stayed here for a couple of nights over the bank holiday weekend. The environment is quite nice, we have stayed in several Marriott Country Clubs in the UK and I would suggest this is a little below average compared to the others. We had a nice welcome from check in staff, parking was great. Room was nice the typical Marriott room and Fabulous Marriott Bed. Unusually for Marriott, there was noise in the corridors on the Saturday night from other guests attending a large wedding. That was unfortunate. We had a swim in the leisure club at 4:30pm. It is common for Marriott to section off the pool for local children’s swimming lessons. This is a bit of a pain when we have stayed in other Marriott but this time it was more than a bit of a pain. To be honest it was totally unacceptable. The place was wall to wall kids, not just in the swimming lesson lane but all over the pool. Running around in and out of the sauna, Jacuzzi etc. on top of the 20+ kids there were other siblings in the pool, and the parents had literally taken over every possible place to sit. Absolutely nowhere to place our towels. This needs to be looked at and managed by the pool staff and management.

We decided to grab a bite to eat and some drinks in the Zest bar on the first night as we could not be bothered to venture out. This was a mistake. At 8pm the whole area had 3 couple’s in there. There was absolutely no atmosphere, not even some background music. I mentioned this to be told that they don’t have music in this area. The food was poor for Marriott standard and both food and drink was pricey. I would give that a miss.

Generally we had an ok experience, we got a good price on the website which added to the Marriott bed was a good deal. Nicely situated but nothing special.

Hotel pleasant enough but feel rather mugged with the internet access charge - £15 a day.

Not a business-friendly price at all.

I like generally Marriots so I was pleased to be spending a few days here. Reception and rooms made good first impressions. Pool and gym looked nice. Staff were good too. The place was very busy, to the extent that normal service in the main restaurant had been replaced with a dinner buffet, which looked a bit 'package holiday' for our tastes. So each evening we ate in the back bar, which is a nice room with views over their own golf course. Bar food ranged from steaks to burgers and fish and was okay but no better. Comfy beds a big plus for me so I slept well all week.
So a 'nice' well-run hotel, if a bit out of the way, that we may well return to in the future.
