We enjoyed stopping by the museum! Lots to see! I love the fact that the buildings are actual buildings that were in use in Delaware long ago! I can't imagine the work it took to move them to the musuem grounds!

Tina,
We really appreciate your stopping by to visit us. Mostly, we are glad that you loved being here and that you understand the work involved in creating an authentic 1890's village. Thanks again for taking the time to give us your thoughts and a wonderful rating!

Myself, husband, our 5 year old, Nana and Grandpa had a wonderful visit to the center. There were hands on activities for our son, LOADS of tractors and equipment, and exhibits you could walk through and explore. The model trains traveling through local farms was great.
We all loved walking through the village, and our son loved playing the School Master, ringing the bell for us to go out and play with the 'olden days' toys.
Really a great visit.

Hello sarasam17!
This is Valerie at the front desk and I remember your family visit! We are so happy that you chose the Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village to visit while visiting from Spain. We truly have something for everyone; from the youngest to the oldest! Historically speaking, farming communities have a lot in common with everyone who lived in the "olden days". Wood stoves were used to warm families and cook meals and desserts, and pumps were used to provide much needed water. I'm so glad your son had fun 'ringing the bell' because the bell was used not only to bring children to school, but also to bring the community together for important meetings and family gatherings. Thanks again for visiting and taking time to tell about your visit. Happy New Year!

Nov 29, 2017. Went to the museum - the lady working there was wonderful. Gave me a site map - answered all my questions - she is awesome (Valerie?). I'm can't remember names. The museum, buildings and grounds are wonderful. The sound of the Canada geese flying overhead - was glorious. Wished the geese would have set their wings and pitched into the museum property. Saf e haven.

We really enjoyed our visit to the DE Ag Museum. It was very visual to hold the children's attention while also having more detailed write-ups for my husband and I who both love history. When we left and asked everyone what was their favorite part, sweet Lulu the pig was the win of the day, followed by how interesting it is to think of how differently people lived from today.

Easy to get to, plenty of parking, clean restrooms, picnic tables; very welcoming, informative, helpful greeter with suggestions to enrich our visit; we had teens and small children and there was plenty to see and do for both age groups - adults too! All houses/buildings/workshops are authentic structures of the 18th century (or earlier) and were moved to the Museum property, fully furnished and working for exhibition. Amazed at all there is to see! Plenty of interaction. Kids loved the pretend play in the Touch of History room. My favorite is a 1700s log cabin with all the artifacts that were found with it. Make sure you visit the gift shop with new and vintage items!
