Wonderful fresh bread,. Outstanding escargot. Incredible French onion soup. Adequate tomato and mozzarella salad. Very nice hostesses and wait staff. Very clean and attractive setting.

We were two couples out for a nice evening's meal. We sat outside because people-watching is as much fun as dining in this Bal Harbor restaurant. The location is lively, the weather was balmy and the food was perfect. We ordered four different meals. My husband said the onion soup was every bit as amazing as the one he loves at Le Petit Rouge. I had the steak frites. The fries are crisp and well seasoned and the steak was perfectly cooked and big enough for me to take half home. Our friend had the warm shrimp salad which was the only negative meal (she said the shrimp were overcooked. They offered to replace the dish with another but she wasn't really that hungry. They took her uneaten meal off the bill.). Our other friend had the Moules frites which he said were perfectly prepared.

Our lunch consisted of Chicken Paillard that was perfectly grilled accompanied by a delicately dressed salad. We had a glass of Chardonnay. For dessert, Creme Brûlée served, and tasted just like it ought to, tender sugar coating and light, creme. We’re local and definitely looking forward to returning.

Went there expecting more. Service was surprisingly poor. Ordered a mixture of 8 oysters for 2 to share. Got a set of, 4,3 and 1. Not sure how to split 1 oyster. (1 oyster was mealy anyway) Server did not identify which oysters were which. Entrees were average. It was my wife's birthday which I indicated when I made the reservation and told server. No one said happy birthday. Ordered 2 dessert wines which never came. Sever never checked on us and we sat there for 20 minutes. When we got check and told server we never got our wine, he said oh well, must have gone to the wrong table. No offer to get us wine and I wasn't about to spend $45 more dollars here. Too bad as we love French food

Popular restaurant on the ground floor of this lux shopping mall. Classic French cocktails dishes and wines. Great fries! Excellent service.
