Stayed in late March while on a visit to FAU. Hotel was conveniently located to the University and I-95. Room was clean but the rate of over $145 was a little high. Sleeping wasn't an issue for me but my husband complained that he heard the train come by(the hotel is right next to the tracks). Also, if you want to sleep with some darkness, make sure you don't take a room that faces the parking lot. Our room was right next to the light pole and the light showed through our room all night. I checked for room darkening shades but they didn't have them. Not crazy about the layout of the bathroom/sink area. The toilet/shower is in one room while the sink is in another. For the price they charged, SpringHill suites should provide at least 2 queen beds. Not even sure if they were doubles. All in all, a nice stay but I would choose another hotel the next time.

First we thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule and sharing your feedback regarding your recent visit with us. I have shared your comments with our general manager and assure you that we have "black out shades" in all of our guest rooms. In addition, all of our rooms with (2) Beds are Double/Double Beds. We are terribly sorry that your husband's sleep was disturbed as we are located close to the train tracks, there is a city mandate that there are to be no horns nor signals during the night hours and our windows have triple-pane glass. We hope that should you allow us the opportunity of serving you again in the future and that you please contact me directly and I will see to it that your room is perfect and quiet. Thanks again for your feedback.

I actually stayed here twice in December 2010...once with parents and once myself a week later....Typical clean and comfortable Springhill...although the sofabeds are not very comfortable...I have only slept in a few hotel pullouts in the last few years..and they all seem very thin and lumpy ..unlike the very comfy bed King matresses Marriott has...Wifi worked well..shower was very good with decent pressure and hot water...Breakfast was very well run..and nicely stocked..with fruit and good oatmeal...Fitness room was nice...and functional..but would love to see personal TV's on cardio at all hotels..but that may be a long way off...The best part of this hotel is the pool area...It is very relaxing and with beautiful flowers..a great place to sit and read on a sunny mild day...pool was great for a swim..and hot tub was working well....The Tri Rail train goes right by hotel...and is a minor noise annoyance...on back side of hotel..but not enough to deter me from staying here again..Nice Springhill value...Recommend...

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule and sharing the feedback regarding your stay with us in March. We are ecstatic that you really enjoyed our hotel including the pool area, services and amenities and our #1 goal is to make our guests feel at home when they stay with us! We apologize for the Tri Rail noise and uncomfortable pull out bed. We will be fully renovating our hotel next year with brand new furniture and we have installed triple pane windows to deter the noise. Again, thank you for your valuable feedback and we do hope to have you back with us in the near future.

Sincerely,
The SpringHill Suites Boca Raton Staff

ask if they have any large group of college kids staying. The rooms are excellent but the walls are thin so all the noise can be heard. As for breakfast it's the same old stuff but you gotta get to it before the kids get there.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent stay. We are centrally located near various schools and universities and often host student groups, however, we do feel we do a good job in containing the noise level and making sure all of our guests are happy. As a loyal Marriott customer, you know you can expect a certain level of service and consistency when staying with us. SpringHill Suites, as a brand, provides a deluxe complimentary breakfast buffet where you will find at any SpringHill Suites you stay at. We have come to find this consistency is very important to our guests. We take the comments of our guests very seriously and hope that you enjoyed your stay. We would love to have you again in the future.

Sincerely,
The SpringHill Suites Boca Raton Team

Front desk service was very efficient and friendly checking us in 3 hours early without a problem. Room was very clean, but an odor in the hallway smelling like natural gas was prevalent and a light bulb was loose in the hallway outside our room causing the light to flicker and blink every second. Room was very clean with a mini-fridge, desk, and small-older microwave. Beds were very comfortable and couch and chairs were well kept and clean. Air condition was wall unit and easy to control and adjust. Room was very comfortable with a central air unit and the air condition worked and was needed since the air temp. was around 80 degrees during this December day. Windows were locked and could not be opened. Wireless internet worked tremendously for a second floor room. Cookies and candy were available at the front desk throughout the day. Breakfast buffet was very good with apples, oranges, and bananas as well as hot and cold cereals and 2 waffle machines and eggs and sausage. Pool was very well heated, one of the best I have had in my Florida Winter visits with hours open from 6 AM to 11PM. Whirlpool needed some help and really never worked effectively. Workout room was satisfactory with numerous equipment and free weights and a water machine. Checkout was just as easy and bill was accurate and delivered to the room around 3AM. Train tracks are right next to the pool area and trains come by very early and late. Also, the executive airport is a mile away and helicopters and airplane noises could be heard early in the morning. Location is tucked away off the main road, but easy to find. No restaurants are within walking distance. I have stayed here two other times and experienced no real problems and would go back. Beach is about 4 mile drive from hotel...we went to Deerfield Beach which is very family friendly. Airplane pilots and flight crews were observed staying here as well and overall the location was very quiet with the exception of the few trains and airplanes. No real problems and worth staying for the affordable price of under $100 a night on New Year's eve.

Great Service and a free breakfast were not enough to compensate for the odd room odor. We wanted to open a window but that was not possible and the hallways were worse. The lobby air was fine. My best guess would be the odor was from mold which is typical in Florida. Apparently judging from the favorable reviews most people do not notice it, so perhaps my wife and I are hyper sensitive. The suite layout was a little odd in that the bathroom was in the back of room and I would have preferred it in the back.
This facility has lot of potential. We loved the free reliable high speed wired internet.
The pool area and lobby are extremely well kept. There are three computers in the the business center and snacks are available at a reasonable price adjacent to the front desk. There are ample places to eat and drink nearby including a Miller's Ale House about a mile away(highly recommended). You will need a car to get to all of them.
If you do not have a car there is a a place for breakfast and lunch on the weekdays in a nearby office building. You could also walk to Embassy Suites, which is at the other end of parking lot.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent stay. We are glad that you appreciated our customer service and our complimentary breakfast. The windows we have on property are hurricane proof, which is why they cannot be opened.

Thank you for staying with us and we hope to have you with us again!
