Great time fishing in the gulf. Caught a ton of fish about 40 miles out. Helpful professional crew. Was told that because of deeper water out of st pete the fish are much bigger there. So probably go out up there next time.

I have been going to Master Bait for 12 year. I bought my first Florida back water rod and reel comb there when I moved here from New England in 2005, 12 years ago and it's still one of my favorite rigs. If you have a question or need advise they have the answer. If you need a fishing license, they sell them. If you want to know what biting and where, they have the answer and if fish bite on it, whether artificial or live they have it.

As a fishing guide I spend sometime in local bait and tackle stores. Large selection of live/frozen bait. Everything you need for a fun filled day on the water. Gotta love their Master Bait and Tackle clothing. Highly recommend.

On a fishing trip with my dad and brother, just stopped in for some live shrimp. The owner could not have been ruder. He just ignored us and it seemed that we were just bothering him existing. If you don't like people that much a business where customer service is important probably should not be your gig. Go to any other bait shop and give your money to someone who deserves it.
