My wife and I stayed over for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived hours before our check in time but this was not a problem for the lovely couple that run this up market piece of country charm. We were made to feel very welcome.
On our return from walking and eating out we relaxed in the lounge and had a few reasonably priced drinks. Our hosts couldnt do enough for us but were not over fussy. The ideal end to a perfect day. The room was simple and tasteful with some nice little touches of class about it.
Breakfast was of a high standard with a wide choice on the menu.
Overall a very nice stay in a lovely area with lovely people. A return visit is inevitable.

If you are going walking in the mountains of Yorkshire or surrounding areas you couldn't go wrong using this lodge as your base, excellent rooms, clean, great service, great food lovely hosts. I did the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge and stayed here the night before and after. It was money well spent, great value for money. Bar and lounge available for families or groups to meet.

Visited last weekend and had a peaceful and relaxing break. The lodge is set in glorious countryside and is full of character. The hosts were very welcoming. The best thing about it, though, was the food. Wonderful home-cooked dishes sourced from local produce. The full English breakfast was enough to last all day and the evening meals were delicious. Will definitely be returning.

Spent a long weekend in the area and stayed at Middle Flass Lodge. Comfortable twin room with en suite, and lots of nice little touches - hospitality tray had biscuits and sweets as well as a selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc. Plus bottles of water, replenished each day.
Excellent buffet table for breakfast and a good range of cooked breakfast available too. Bacon, eggs, sausage etc all locally sourced and very tasty.
We were able to come and go as we pleased - not all B&B type places allow this - and the house is in a beautiful setting with well maintained gardens and spacious car park.
The owners were friendly and helpful, nothing seemed to be any trouble.
We didn't have our evening meal here as we wanted to try local pubs but the menu looked very good - way above the usual menu for similar places.
If you're looking for a comfortable place to stay, with a good breakfast to set you up for a day walking or sightseeing then book in here - you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: You do need to be good friends to share the twin room (room 1) as it is a little small! Very comfy beds though with spotless sheets.

Our first visit (now many more!) was from an Internet trawl to find a B&B close to a wedding venue. Little did we know that we had found our paradise! The setting is exquisite - glorious countryside punctuated only by birdsong. As soon as you pull up you feel the tension slip away from you as you step into heaven on earth. All of the rooms we have had are clean, warm and comfortable with outstanding views. There are complimentary drinks and biscuits. There was plenty of hot water in the immaculate bathroom.
Breakfast was stunning. Ample tea, coffee and toast. The menus offered the widest choice from full English to porridge to fish to items on toast or a combo of them. Before that,we helped ourselves to cereal, fruit and juice. The food was piping hot and superbly fresh. There was not a trace of grease on the full English. It set us up for the full day.
Now the evening meal was a masterpiece. There was a wide range of choices and Nigel made me many individual dishes being a vegetarian. There was no preprepared, frozen veggie option. What a treat! My partner sampled the meat options and loved them all. He even was tempted away by my veggie meals. The accompanying vegetables were mind blowing Seven different freshly prepared vegetables with not a frozen pea in sight. The spinach balls and leeks in sauce were a meal in themselves. We never had the same veg twice. Alongside is a wide choice of beers, wines and spirits in the amply stocked bar. Nothing was too much trouble in the food department. We have never had such wonderful food as this in a B&B. Everything was beautifully presented. You couldn't ask for better. We took tea in the lounge afterwards and digested our meals in a peaceful, relaxing slump. Being a train buff, Nigel swapped stories with my partner while I nibbled the after dinner chocolate It doesn't get any better than Middle Flass. Thank you for your warm welcome and perfect service Joan and Nigel. We will be back and back and back.

Room Tip: Remember it is in the middle of nowhere so the phone signals are weak - don't blame the owners. Relish the peace
