I stayed at the Residence Inn with my family prior to cruising from Port Canaveral, and I would come back here again in the future.

We rented a mini-van to travel one-way from the airport to Cocoa Beach, which was a very convenient and affordable way to travel to our cruise. If you choose to do the same, you might want to use Hertz as they basically share the parking lot with the Residence Inn. There is also a gas bar on the other side of the parking lot, so the whole car rental experience was very easy.

We arrived at night and our cruise left in the morning, so didn't get an opportunity to use many of the hotel facilities. The room was very nice, with lots of space for my family of four. My wife and I used the king bed, and my six and eight year old shared the pullout which was very comfortable.

Breakfast was good, with seating available both inside and outside. There was a bit of a line at the waffle-maker, but otherwise it dealt with the crowd fairly well.

All of the staff we encountered we friendly and helpful.

All things considered, we would stay here again.

Have stayed here several times before sailing out. 2 years ago the place was top notch.. something has happened recently that have made this property not so great. The pool is freezing and DIRTY.. all sorts of bugs and leaves and dirt... yes I know it's Flordia, expect bugs but this was just GROSS! no one was swimming! The front desk staff were rude this past trip. Not sure if it was just a bad day but wow! Not sure if next time I come down for a cruise this will be my default after this past experience, which is too bad because I consider Marriott always the safe choice. I need to lower my expectations or move on eh?

This hotel is very close to Port Canaveral and offers a shuttle service to Port in a addition to parking for your vehicle while you are on your cruise (both services are for a nominal fee). Our 1 BR suite was great, free breakfast was awesome! They don't have a restaurant but do have a market area with drinks and snacks as well as a small bar near the pool area (we didn't get a chance to use the pool). The bar was cozy and there was a fire pit outside to sit around as well as some other seating outside. The hotel seemed clean and well maintained and price was comparable for the area. The hotel offers free wi-fi as well as business center (1 computer and printer) in lobby area. The only issue we had was the first night the internet was not working : ( Would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Laundry room is on 4th floor, pool side. Entire hotel is non-smoking.

Stayed here with the mom, aunt and niece before a cruise. Great location, good breakfast and bonus manager's reception was actually dinner! Can't beat it.

Room Tip: First floor is always a good thing.

My husband and I had a weekend trip before his conference and we chose this Marriott to go to some new places (the Kennedy Space Center and Cocoa Beach). The hotel staff were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. We stayed in one night, and even bought a bottle of wine from their small market to go with our delivery pizza. Room seemed a bit worn, but clean. The bed was comfortable as well. I would recommend this a quick stay.

My mom and I had a great overnight stay. Check in was fast, room was just like the web site picture, breakfast was filling with a nice selection and the entire facility was spotless. Front desk staff recommended a nice restaurant for dinner (Fishlips) and even got a 10% discount on the dining bill. Room key also provides a 15% discount at Ron Jon Surf Shop. We were there on a weekend night, so did not get to experience the reception.

I cannot stress how much we enjoyed this hotel. We stayed there with 2 other couples before our cruise on the Carnival Dream. We arrived on a Wednesday, 3 days before our cruise. Check in was a breeze and staff was pleasant and accommodating. We shared a 2 bedroom suite with another couple. The room was spacious and clean. The kitchen was appropriately stocked with everything necessary for basic meal preparation. The BBQ on Wednesday night was an excellent bonus and we really enjoyed both the fire pit and the pool. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet was much better then what we have experienced at other hotels in the past. Also, we rented a car from Hertz, which is situated in the front of the parking lot for the hotel. The staff also provided directions to get to Kennedy Space Center. When we next cruise from Port Canaveral, we will most certainly stay here
