The accommodations here are wonderful! It's small enough to feel like a welcomed guest--the staff are helpful and gracious. I've stayed in two different rooms, both unique and well appointed, and with spectacular views. Beach access couldn't be easier.

Everything was wonderful except for a computer problem they had with ordering lunch from the beach. Besides this our trip was outstanding.

My mom and I recently traveled to the Henderson Park Inn after hearing rave reviews from friends of all ages. Upon arrival, we were rudely greeted by the most inhospitable person at the front desk. Next, we were told we were on the third floor and there was no elevator. My mother is 75 years old and this was quite a surprise considering it is an adult only hotel. The website describes each room as spacious with a large balcony overlooking the Gulf. My mother and I could not fit on said balcony at the same time as it was more of a dormer window with a small ledge and stool. Mind you we are not large people. The rooms was nice but the bathroom was so tiny! It was like an attic addition! Very in need of updating and if the building caught fire we were never making it out from the third floor down the tiny stairwell! The restaurant wait staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. The bartenders Robert and Hunter were most accommodating at the outside bar. However, for the amount we were charged a night the liquor selection was awful. I’ve had better liquor at a college bar. But the absolute worst part of our trip was the housekeeping. There was hair all over the shower. After requesting housekeeping to clean during dinner, hair was still there. Hair was still there the next night as well. Upon returning from the beach in the afternoon our coffee cups were still full as well as our drinks from previous evening. Every single day! Front desk staff, restaurant manager and housekeeping staff were rude, not accommodating and unpleasant. Will not be returning.

We have been going to HPI for over 30 years and this time the housekeeping was the worst we have ever had. We arrived on a Sunday and left Saturday. Not one time did they vacuum our room. This is beachfront property so you can imagine the sand brought in. We ran out of toilet paper and had to go to the front desk to get more. They took away all our shampoo/condition, etc....WHY! The rooms need updating so badly. The tubs you have to literally crawl out of. Please as much as you are charging at least update the tubs and the carpet. The carpet is ripped in so many places. We continue to come back because we love the location but please please do so updating!!! We are not the only ones complaining everyone is complaining. Robert, the bartender and Greg the chef and the kitchen manager in the morning is truly our highlight! I truly hate to complain but I believe those reading this review need to know! This property is truly so beautiful but it could be so more better!

Location is absolutely beautiful.
Dinner service at Beach Walk Café was very good however my chicken was not cooked properly, greasy and chewy and did not come with a vegetable - only potatoes which I thought was odd. My husband enjoyed his crab cakes and lionfish very much! In fact, he mentioned they were the best crab cakes he has ever had. The bread and butter was delicious.
24-hour snacks provided and Starbucks coffee was appreciated – especially since our in room coffee was not replenished by housekeeping.
There is a difference between nautical-rustic and dated. Our room was quite dated which surprised me as I was told that we were in the newer building. Our ceiling was leaking (bottom floor room) on our last day - to the point that we had to put the ice bucket on the floor to catch the water. We were in room109. It was quite obvious when looking at the ceiling that this is an ongoing issue. The right-hand door leading out to the balcony was clouded and obstructed our beautiful view which was disappointing. Shower water pressure was also less than desirable.
Housekeeping was definitely lacking. Dirty coffee cups were ignored and coffee and creamer were not replenished. Basically, all we could see that happened was the bed was made and towels were hung. My socks were dirty from walking on the floor.
Service at the Tiki Bar was also lacking to the point where at one point, we got up and left without being served due to the fact that the bartender was MIA. (the gentleman bartender was very friendly and much more attentive than the female who seemed quite flustered)
All in all, for almost $6,000 (6 nights total), we were quite disappointed.
