Our balcony was so small only one could fit out and the chairs were bar stools. Beach is pretty and property has a nice homey feel. Service was ok, a little slow. Carpet is definitely worn but it is an older building.

We've wanted to stay at HPI for years, but never had the opportunity to do so. Finally booked a trip to celebrate our 35th anniversary and it was amazing! Excellent customer service, the amenities were great and having the private beach was over and above! We will definitely be back.

We miss the box lunches. We also enjoyed the Horizon restaurant in the hotel. The entire package of both properties is excellent.

Best get away as a couple. Staff and facilities were amazing. The room was amazing and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.

We stayed at the resort for 4 days near the end of Aug 2024. Really like that it's an adult only as the resort is VERY quiet at night. If you're the party type, this is not your kinda of place.
The pros:
The resort/restaurant staff are amazing and provel a level of service we felt was over the top. We enjoyed the hotels snack & drinks mini bar under the stairs...nice touch to stand apart from other similar class resorts. The rooms are nice size and the beds/pillows were very comfortable.
The cons:
It was nice having a room with a balcony but, if they face east or west be prepared to get burned on the outdoor wooden furniture from the sun.
The rooms themselves are nice but the bathrooms need some attention. They are starting to show their age. We had an old jetted tub that was deep and difficult to get in/out of. For a property of this class I was hoping to find a walk in shower, especially being adults only.
The carpet in the hallways & stairs is extremely stained. So stained that there is a black runner from all the years of foot traffic. At $500+ a night, I would expect the property to be in a little better condition.
Would I visit again? Maybe not the resort itself unless some improvements were made but, I would definitely visit the restaurant again.

Love HPI however the prices are getting to be highway robbery considering breakfast and lunch are no longer included. And next year they’re gonna start charging daily for parking. That IS over the top ridiculous.
